Cheapest price in a while, this is the 356 version of this amazing tool (3 speeds, lower vibration vs the 355 which has previously been on sale a few times on OzB)
The vibration is a lot less than other equivalent tools i've tried, and as an added bonus it's brushless as well.

Normally $320 or so in Australia. Grab a bargain.

  • Is it brushless? i dont find it anywhere

  • Probably a silly question, but can you run an 18v battery off this if it's 20v?

    • +4

You can. The tools are identical. Only reason the number is different is because our advertising is stricter, and the nominal voltage is closer to 18V. In the US they can advertise using the theoretical maximum voltage.

      • Does that apply to Aldi? They advertise 20v, I assumed its the same config as a regular 18v.

        • not familiar with the Aldi stuff so I couldn't tell ya

        • Yes, exactly the same thing.
5 li-ion cells in series at nominal voltage of 3.7v = 18.5v as opposed to the charged voltage of 4.2v equalling 21v. 20v has a better ring to it though.

          • @ConsumerAffairs: I meant why does aldi play with fire by advertising the max voltage? Sounds like Consumer affairs needs to be involved.

@ad62623: It may fall under 'making false or misleading representations of a product'.
For an example, if someone buys the 20v drill and was expecting it to have more power than a 18v drill of an equivalent standard.
So in short, they're playing with fire.

356?! And I’m stuck with this crummy 355!

    • Ditto, but considering for me a multi tool is one that gets used maybe 2 or 3 times a year, I'm not sure upgrading it and trying to flog the 355 off on marketplace is worth it

The 12v version is available at Supercheap for $199 with free battery redemption. From what I gather online, most who have used both prefer the 12v.

Is this 3 times better than the Ozito brushless I got for $46 :D

  • Now $164.97 on Amazon.
