48pcs Kirkland AA from Costco are $17. Apparently made by Duracell.

My experience with Duracell is, guaranteed to leak…but obviously it won't be same with many ..or else how can company still float….

      • +2

Yep they always leak for me when left in something. If you're using them up quickly it's probably OK.
Energiser have always been the best

    • Energiser industrial are made by energiser and they suck. Usually a few in a box that are lucky to be 1V no-load.
Maybe cosco ones rebranded but they could just be lesser duracells made to a price.

Genuine question, but what do people do with these? I have 2 packs of Eneloops AAs and AAAs and can’t see myself buying another battery until they stop holding a charge.

    • Some stuff dont work on 1.2V properly. But most recent stuff work fine.

Like door locks for eg, they advise not to use rechargable batteries…and with some of those locks you need like 8 AAA or AA batteries…

      • -1

Time to change those door locks…

      • +1

Battery operated door lock does not seem like a smart idea.

This version of horseshoe theory is that when your house gets too smart it becomes dumb again.

Been using for while ..happy with it (well so far)..

    • Prepping for the end of the world so I can get my post-apocalypse propaganda on my AM radio… and my weather station.

    • Usually baby toys. Set and forgot, at least I won't lose the expensive rechargeables this way.

    • +1

Clocks for me. Tried rechargeables in some but most started running slow annoyingly quickly.

I'm steadily switching over remotes, KB/mice to rechargeables. More so for the lower risk of leaks.

  • Thanks, been waiting for a sale.

  • These or max plus?

  • Dammit. Needed AAAs.

  • OOS

  • How do these compare to amazon basics?

    • As per review Amazon basics one are crap

  • Thanks OP, got the 30 pack. I've never had an issue with these Energizer batteries.
