In the market for one of these https://www.spotlightstores.com/art-craft/paper-craft/paper-… does anyone know if they go cheaper than that? If so I am willing to hold out for a better deal. Thanks.

Ooo that scan feature sounds nice. I'll have to have a look into the brother models. Only reason I would lean towards Cricut because I assume they have a large market share and thus more guides and information out there.
For an Air 2 that's probably a bit much. The Air 3 has been out for years now and is not much more.
Can't remember what we paid for ours, must have been 300 and something.
The software is not that great, fairly simplistic. But they do issue updates.Silhouette is the main competitor for Cricut and is cheaper, not sure how good the machines and software are though.
Dunno, but this machine cuts, writes, and scans https://www.spotlightstores.com/art-craft/paper-craft/paper-…
The desktop software, CanvasWorkspace, is really quite good too. Scanning is great; you can chuck something in there, scan it, then use the touch screen to choose cut lines, or place exact cut lines with CanvasWorkspace.
