A decent alternative that missed out to those that missed out on the limited Aldi deal at $299 from earlier this year.

  • Any one got one of these and can comment how good/bad it is?

    • +1

Might be difficult to comment on this particular model as it seems new to kogan, however I did notice that this uses springs (different strengths) rather than resistance tubes (which can be found on the aldi model). Springs seem to be on the higher priced models from looking around.

      • Good point

Resistance wise I kind of would have thought springs would give a more consistent resistance thought the range of motion as opposed to resistance band style. Will investigate more into the matter.

          Looks like a good deal.

Identical to the Aldi one (apart from the springs). Springs would last longer than rubber bands.

Cost $90 to convert the Aldi one to springs - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006140726995.html?

Thought about retuning this Aldi unit sitting in front of me, but it has been 70 days…doh!

  • Thanks op! Got one.

    • @lyl-Lychee Did you receive it? Any feedback?

      • +1

Yes and I'm very happy with it so far. Personally think this is great value.
It was about 3 work-day delivery to Melb metro.
The initial setup is a bit of work .. maybe on par with setting up an ikea bookshelf. Packing it up/reopening is much less but still something I wouldn't want to do daily… despite folding upright nice and tidy with inbuilt wheels to trolley it around the home. But if I had some dedicated indoor gym space I'd always leave it open.
It's metal springs & frame and it feels very sturdy to me - I am petite (<50kg) but for me I don't feel any stability difference to the ones at the chain gyms. Same when the load tension is on heaviest.
And as with gaming chairs and all PVC things - I suspect the seat is going to start peeling long before the frame starts showing any issues. Gonna keep mine out of direct sunlight cause of it.

        • Thank you so much for that information, @lyl-Lychee.

  • $50 delivery to Sydney :(

    • Yeah shipping was $45 to Metro Melbourne for me, but even then still comes in under every other offering currently out there.
