  • Could they be clearing out stock for a Wifi 7 version released along the Pixel 9?

  • My cousin purchased one not long ago and he said it was garbage. The speed was nowhere near as good as the Nighthawk MK62 it replaced. Returned it that same day.

Yeah, I am currently in the market for a decent 6E mesh system and a lot of the reviews online for the Google mesh were quite negative. Ended up spending more and getting the new eero Pro 6E. Arrives today.

      • +1

I ended up with one of them last week and def rate it. Very happy with the eero pro 6e system

    • Yes the reviews say good price but performance a bit below other options. But then again netgear options are priced at stratospheric levels.

  • Not a good deals if you compared it to this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/847684

  • Hoping eero pro 6E comes down to this price.

Google mesh was fine for a year but now its just garbage. So many audio sync issues with Chromecast too

    • Eero 6E is twice the price atm, a bit much for what you're getting.

      • 100% mate… Waiting for that drop

  • I just picked one up for $399 on clearance at Bunnings

    • Which store? Called my local and they said it’s $489 per their website: https://www.bunnings.com.au/google-nest-wi-fi-pro-router-3pk…

      • +2

I bought it from Maribyrnong store. I asked for a price check because theres a price discrepancy between the tag and website (showed Mentone store).
They said prices may vary from stores due various reasons but they called a manager anyway for a price match approval because its a clearance item.

        • Wtf? I changed the store to Mentone and sure enough, it says $399. What kind of unethical business practice is this?

          • @1r4n14n: Bunnings apparently are happy to price match others but each store has the right to set its own price (and not obligated to price match other stores)

            • @kermit3169: I believe that is correct and in this case the pricing varies as Bunnings are trying to clear the items. They mentioned Google Nest Wifi Pro is a deleted item so maybe if you are lucky, they may reduce the prices further.

              • @tomeejaiy: Mentone has 1 left but it’s on display. You did well at that price. I wonder if Officeworks will beat $399 by 5%. How are you finding the speed?

                • +1

@1r4n14n: Speeds are pretty good so far for a Sunday afternoon.
                  Im with Leaptel 250/25 FTTP
Google Nest Wifi speed tests at average 280/28
Device speed tests at average 261/23

Im keen to see how consistent they perform with no drop outs hopefully

  • Really happy with ours. Currently getting 800MB/s to the internet from my phone via a mesh point. We've never had faster wifi speeds before, but it's also our first 6e unit.

  • These are the worst for churning nbn providers. Impossible to change settings. Mine had to be reset going from pppoe to ipoe and works ok now but annoying yellow flashing light that can't be fixed.

  • Bunnings were doing a clearance of these recently.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/847684

They had the single units for $99 and the 3 pack for $399 (go figure).

Be aware that there seems to be a strange policy where a Bunnings store doesn't pricematch what another does.
