    ozbargain thought:

it's cheaper to not clean your car

I will never purchase from SparesBox ever again. They are deceitful and their customer service is pathetic.

Can you elaborate? I've used them before and have had nothing but positive experiences.

Never received my order 3 times from them. All 3 orders came with a tracking number that all got stuck on order shipped. Got my money back but kind of annoying so im also never gonna bother ordering anything from them.

        • Glad you got your money back.

Ordered a Rain-X from them via Amazon. No dramas.

        • I had the same experience the first time.. It says as ready to be picked up (from sender) for almost 2 months before I realised and they never messaged or apologised, just instantly refunded when I brought up a case.

They are extremely slow. I wouldnt buy from them, if you need anything within the next month.

      But otherwise I haven’t had a problem.

It is just Repco. All get shipped from Repco stores mostly

    • used them a few times and never had any issues in the past

    • They also use sh*thead couriers who will throw your items in the garden instead of actually delivering it

  • Just be mindful this product will stay on longer than silicon based sprays but will leave black marks on your clothing if you brush against the wheel. Might not be an issue on cars and the like, but utes a 4WDs with larger wheels it can be a problem.

They’re fine for common items like car wash but if it’s an uncommon item (K&N panel filter for a Renault Megane) it could take months, even if they list it as in stock. For me, I don’t mind as their prices can be heaps cheaper when the discounts stack (they discount the items price, you add an eBay code, then Shopback and Westpac cashback). I ordered a SuperPro rear swaybar kit for $235 after cashback. Same one is $500+ elsewhere. This item only took a few weeks but I was prepared to wait a couple of months.

Used them a couple of times, recently got rear pads for my Megane through them, cheaper with postage then local trade brake place for the same pads even with Trade Pricing and as a Capricorn member, parts came with in a couple of days too

  • I use this, its good, just messy if it gets on your hands.

Personally I've been disappointed with this product. It only stays on slightly longer than spray / foam products, but is a pain to apply in comparison.

I'd rather spray on the other tyre products. Less mess, less time even if you're doing it twice as much as lathering this sticky stuff on.

    • I pour some into an empty jar and use a small paint brush to apply on to the tire. After use put the lid back on to the jar and put the brush into a small plastic bag and store it in my boot. A bit more hassle but more economical than a spray cans.

Spraying is even messier lmao. You probably don't even realise you're getting the tyre dressing on the paint.

I use the foam, and yes I'm aware. Messier? You're wrong.
