  • I'm getting conflicting info on the best ways to use this wash.

On one site, it says to apply it and leave for a few minutes but do not allow it to dry then rinse. Another site says to leave it for as long as possible, even for overnight before rinsing.

So what's the most effective use of this?

    • I have some in a spray bottle which I put on the 'tougher' dirt spots. Leave it for maybe 10 or 15 then rinse and wipe. Works extremely well. I wouldn't leave anything on the paint for so long because it's just another thing you need to try and clean off once it dries!

    • +1

There is no way leaving it on overnight is a good idea or effective. Chemical reactions rarely work without moisture, and it would absolutely dry out overnight, leaving spots and possibly maybe even damage. I suggest following the manufacturers instructions, they are often conservative, but they developed it and have tested it to the limits, finding when and where it WON'T damage paint.

  • Excellent for cleaning a 4x4 especially underneath/engine bay.
In my case to clean underneath I spray a diluted solution on using a pressure washed soap dispenser. Then leave even up to overnight then clean off with the pressure washer. For the painted area of vehicle I use the wash and wax version from chemtech… spray on, leave for 10/15 minutes then clean off. On good painted surfaces you do not want to leave it on too long.
You can also use it with a foam gun.

There is a separate foam gun version but I have not tried that (yet). Anyone tried the foam version and is it worth it when using a foam cannon ?

  • do they actually expire? because I still got a bottle from around 10 years ago…
