just paid 485~ or so for the pad 6 pro on aliexpress for those willing. SD 8+ gen 1 in the pro vs the SD 870 in the standard model.
Do you have the link for that? I did look on AliExpress but the cheapest Pad 6 was $445 after taxes and the cheapest Pad 6 Pro was $580. Would definitely be interested in one for $485
70mai-Goldway has the 8gb/128gb for $500 with tax included but I would want until next month for coupons.

Pad 6 Pro won't have a global rom as it hasn't been officially released outside of China I believe
Do you know if there are any problems with the CN rom ? i looked it up and saw some mentions about some streaming services not working properly so I'm a bit hesitant. But I do want that 8+ gen 1 over 870 though.
@parkaa: unsure on this but there are reports of it working. Not having full hd for netflix and the like isn't a deal breaker for me but I'll have a play around when I get mine.

Definitely this. I bought it full price, unfortunately, but flashed the global ROM on it. Someone here posted instructions. A little bit buggy, but worth the effort.

@nikoris: Yup. AMOLED, and I got if off Ali Express. I've seen it come up here a couple of times for under $300 from memory. I paid over $500 for mine just half a year before I saw the first deal here. Gutted. But I've been enjoying it either way.
I've heard the global ROM is behind on updates compared to the chinese rom, I just cleaned all of the chinese bloat and tracking from my Pad Pro and reinstalled all of google's services, runs a treat IMO and I don't see the need for a global rom.
@chepsk8: Having their app store update the Google Play Store didn't feel right.
Besides Samsung, I don't know if any other tablet maker is good with updates. I have an antivirus and hope for the best. 🤞
I've never used AliExpress, but I see some Pad 6 Pros for around AUD 150 before tax. I must be missing something?

scams, you'll see they do stuff like misspell Xiaomi. Triple check the specs, they'll use different chips, different screens etc
It says Global version. I'm very sceptical because the last one I got a few years ago also said Global but then it's a fake ROM (seller's own generic ROM bootloader unlocked), which means ZERO updates. So, thanks but I'll pass.
