Feel free to pm me for dashcam installations if youre in Sydney.

      • Thanks, but I’m in Melbourne

        • +1

I am also in Melbourne and may reach out in case both of us end up purchasing.

  • Any rear camera required/ compatibility issues / recommendations?

I would like to get the wiring done in 1 go if possible.

  • I just bought the dual cam version and had it installed yesterday. So far no issues. Great quality.

    • How much was installation?

Dude mentions the SD card randomly needs to be reformatted every so often.

    • It is good practice to format the sd card every so often, but it shouldn't compulsory like the reviewer has mentioned - possibly a faulty unit.

    Not Starvis 2 :-(

  • If anyone can find a place to buy an Australian stocked 70mai 810 dash cam let me know. Starvis 2 for the winnn

    • have you tried ebay or aliexpress?

      also why need australian stock?

      • I just want proper warranty for it. I've had issues with Aliexpress where they will drag drag and drag claims by telling you to send it back to China at your own cost, and then fake refunding you via Paypal even though you never even paid with PayPal in the first place.

Amazon seems to have it but it's not sold directly by them… so warranty and returns would be difficult.

don't amazon still needs to ensure warranty is not being dodge?

if you complain to amazon customer service that the seller is not doing the warranty properly
          then what will amazon do?

          Has this happened to you?
or you just read it somewhere?

          how common is this?

Why not buy from Aliexpress Choice sellers/items?
Isn't this similar to "Sold by Amazon" branding?

$249 from 70mai website without the hardwire kit. I'm thinking about 70mai as Viofo have increased their prices for a while now.

      • 70mai has improved a lot, so definitely a good alternative to Viofo - but if comparing the two, a big con for me is that the official 70mai hardwire kit cuts off at a fairly low voltage (although their latest hardwire kit is better too, cuts off at 11.8V now), which makes the car more susceptible to a flat battery if not driven often.

        • that sucks if that is the case..

wouldn't want a flat battery when you really need to drive on that day.

so 70mai work with park mode
in case someone or a car hits it while parked?

how much does the rear camera kit cost in total with the front kit?

Do you need the hardware kit to run 70mai?
why it can be sold without one?

          • @pinkybrain: The 70mai A810 will have buffered parking mode (2s before the event), which is triggered by the g sensor.

You’ll have to check the price yourself - I only install dashcams.

Installation with hardwire kit is optional, but no parking mode.

            • @idd:

Installation with hardwire kit is optional, but no parking mode.

what is the difference between installation with hardware kit and without it?

Don't they both require wiring it to the battery to run the camera?
or is the non hardware kit using the cigarette lighter?
