debate is over
lyrically, sure
Lyrically, musically, morally…
there's not a single metric drake beats kdot in besides underage girls inappropriate to
His music sounds better to more people but ok.
@dowhatuwant2: It’s easy when you have a team of ghost writers though
@ExtraSalt: Neither of them write their own music alone, Kendrick writes his own lyrics which i acknowledge hes better at. The song itself sounding better is often more to do with the producers.
@dowhatuwant2: Ghostwriters are lyricists. Producers make the music. Idk why you are trying to mix it up. This beef is purely about content so producers are irrelevant. Nardwuar would body both of them.
@dowhatuwant2: The culture ain’t feeling him.
@dowhatuwant2: The dudes a certified pedo, but ok.
Drake must be huffing glue if he thought he could go up against Kendrick

The price inflation on vinyl over the past 3-5 years has been ridiculous. Am I the only one who thinks paying $50++ for an album is insane?
It's hard to say. I just looked up some receipts of records I bought in 2011:
Daft Punk - Discovery 1 $22.90
The Beatles - Abbey Road 1 $14.90
Green Day - Warning:1 $15.90
Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More1 $16.90
Pearl Jam - Vitalogy1 $24.90
Jack Johnson - In Between Dreams1 $15.90
The Strokes - Is This It1 $19.90
I used to think being able to buy a record for $15 was an absolute bargain and there was no way anyone was making any money off of it. I enjoyed the hobby but haven't bought a record in years now. While the cost these days would sting, I still remember the feeling of unwrapping the plastic, opening the gatefold up and reading whatever was inside. For many music fans, this experience on an album they truly love is priceless. I guess for the amount of enjoyment one would get out of an album, $50 isn't really all that much. It's just we've been conditioned over the last decade or so that music doesn't really have monetary value.
This is exactly how I feel. Very glad I didn't start collecting recently. I would very rarely pay $50 for a record anymore. Especially a recent release or repress.
Yeah, that's a pretty fair take. Like you, I was lucky to be able to enjoy collecting vinyl when ~$20 records were much more the norm and I agree with you that they did feel like a bargain at the time. Even though I'm mostly priced out of vinyl nowadays — except for the occasional obscure record in the remainder bin — I guess I shouldn't begrudge people for paying these prices if it brings them the same feelings you describe. :)
WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP
I got, I got, I got, I got
Amazing album. Kendrick deserved all the praise he got.
