So i rarely post anything but i am simply shocked at this situation.
Tokyo Vice is a HBO max show, it is a respectable crime drama with a 89% rotten tomato score. Previously, season 1 of the show was available to watch on paramount+ but abruptly disappeared from paramount+ Australia prior to the release of season 2.
Then, season 1 reappeared on sbs-on-demand for a brief period and is now on apple store, it is not however included in Apple+ TV but a one time purchase of $25 on apples store. Season 2 is available seemingly on apples store outside of Australia but not currently available to us. Season 2 finished in early April. At this point in time, it's been a month since this season finished yet still there is absolutely no way to buy or rent this for Australians. Binge/Foxtel usually have HBO licenses but this is not an offering.
physical copies of season 1 seem widely available, but physical copies of season 2 are not available on amazon, with a handful of dubious chinese offerings on ebay.
despite having apple+ tv, itunes, binge, paramount+ and all these tiresome services, nobody will take my money. This feels like some kind of anomaly/failure. At this point i have considered reaching out to executives on LinkedIn or SBS because this situation is absurd.
So be creative about it instead.
