I've been looking for a decent bed frame. Either Ecosa or Koala bed frame. Saw Ecosa has a 30% off week sale. Rise Bed Frame was $2000 down to $1400.

Free delivery excludes some remote areas.

I was shopping around earlier for a solid wooden bed frame - ended up going with Quokka beds when they had a sale or discount code.
Shipping from Perth to Sydney took ages, but I think it was worthwhile - I got one with the legs hidden (set back), so less walking into them.
Was also able to get Jarrah wood, which is nice.
Otherwise look out for the discontinued/last chance stock at Costco - I saw a Moran really cheap.
    YMMV

  • Not sure about the others but don’t buy a Rise bed frame. Whole thing creaks cos their manufacturing tolerances are so bad so the easy slot together mechanism has massive gaps. No way to fix it either but ask them to try and swap for a better one, they’ll fight you tooth and nail on it though.

    • Yeah I found the trick is how your prop the bed head against the wall, but you can also shim the joins if that doesn't solve it.

Surprised they fought you though, I had an issue with the matching bedside tables drawers and they just gave me a full refund and let me keep them without any argument ($800)… I ended up fixing the problem myself after that too

      • That's where I ended up with it, a butt load of builders shims and felt tape to jam up the joints, stopped most of it. Poor quality though that we had to resort to this.

  • Has anyone used the Ecosa Pillow? Any comments?

      I'd avoid them.

I bought one about three years ago and it was great. But last year when I purchased a new pillow to replace it I found out that both the design had changed and the density of the foam had been altered from my old ecosa pillow. These changes made the new ecosa pillow significantly worse and i had to return it.

      • I have a feeling your expectations not being met might bias that a bit… I switched onto the ecosa pillow after using other side sleepers and am very happy with it (bought on sale obviously), along with the silk case it's great 🤷

I have a feeling your expectations being met might also bias that a bit…

sintro asked for comments, I provided my opinion. Everyone has 'bias' based on their own experience.

Unsure why you felt the need to reply to me directly accusing me of "bias", when you could have simply replied directly to sintro who was the person seeking comments.

@StrontiumDog: Yeh my bad sorry, it wasn't helpful and reads worse than I intended

When did you buy yours last year? I bought mid year.

I have a friend who bought the same combo this year and their silk and pillow seems different but not by a lot

@TheFlyingCoder: I bought two in September 2023 after really liking my previous Ecosa pillow from October 2020.

I'm tall and sleep on my side, so needed to use all of the inserts provided. The newer design moved from the previous two inserts, to now having three inserts, which I personally found made the pillow unstable. Add to that the change in foam density and the new pillows didn't work for either my wife or myself, and both were returned.

Agreed. The new pillows are rubbish, old ones were great and very supportive.
New ones are flimsy and not supportive at all.

        Also returned mine

  • We have the Kirribilli bed base from Koala and it’s quite good quality. No tools required too. https://koala.com/en-au/bedroom/bed-bases/kirribilli-bed-bas…
