What's specific about the "reversible version" OP, I didn't know they existed.

    • +2

it has a switch that reverses the ratchet direction so you can do that while still on a fastener instead of removing and flipping the tool to achieve the same thing.

    • +1

One goes one way, the other goes both ways.

      • -3

Just to clarify - are we talking about the ratchets or Pam and jv?

    • +1

It's just like a socket wrench whereby you can flick a switch and they will operate one way either clockwise or anti-clockwise. With the non-reversible one you just flip the wrench 180deg to get it to turn the way you want.

    • Cheers guys, yeah a built-in switch would make it much easier when the nut's in an awkward place instead of flipping and trying to get on the nut again.

Especially useful if your are unable to flip it at all and the spanner gets trapped.

I just want many 10mm and many 13mm.

Recommend getting the ones with the angled head…

  • What's the normal price?

      $google

I have this reversible set and also an Aldi set with flexible ratcheting heads. Both get used, but mostly these gearwrench ones.

The reversible ones are a godsend most of the time since you never put it on in the direction you want it to turn (a bit like a usb-a plug 😂) and you can just flick the switch and off you go…

Most OZBers for $100 by nature would just flip it

Shame they're not offset, or flexible head (ring end). If you keep an eye out in any one of the tool shops, you can get the black flex head for $60-80.

It doesn't bother me that I have to flip mine over if I need to go the other direction, but it does bother me when you can't grip the spanner because it's up against a flat surface.
