Out of curiosity @AIRJO CoffeeRoasters - looks like every month you post the deal for $33. Also every month (offset by 2 weeks) you look like you post the same deal for $35.

From a strategy/sales perspective, I'm curious - why the $2 difference between promos, and why the frequency?

(Not having a crack here… happy drinker of Airjo but just curious)

Hey there Garry044 - we are trying a number of options for you guys to try and nail the timing as best we can. Recently this seems to have worked from our side and your side. Things will likely change as things change around us.

      Cheers
      Dan

why the $2 difference between promos, and why the frequency?

Trying to 'technically' avoid getting the post deleted as SPAM

  • Very happy with the Airjo coffee. Just finished off a bag but still have a few bags to get through. Very happy to recommend.

    • Thanks so much nedski - that's great to hear and we appreciate the recommendation.

      Cheers

Hey OP. Happy with the coffee. Can you do the $31.50 for multiple bags deal at all?

    • Hey there mit - great to hear you are enjoying the coffee and thanks for sharing. This deal doesn't have the extra discount - it's just a straight $33 but thanks for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Thanks OP, perfect timing. Down to my last 100g of beans! Ordered another KG of Stargazer. Any other lower acidity blends you can recommend?

    • Hey rafsaaa - that's great to hear - thanks so much. If you are up for the darker roasts, the Thunderchild will also have an acidity similar to the Stagazer.

      I hope that helps.

      Thanks again.
      Dan

  • Thanks OP, perfect timing. I was just thinking this morning as I was making my bean juice that I needed to place another order.

Damn Dan! I was holding off for your deal to come through but just pulled the bullet on another coffee deal about 2 hours ago.
See you next time around :)

Ahh Surtr!! - sorry to hear we missed you - hopefully better timing for us both next time.

      Cheers

Shouldnt it be pull the trigger?

      • +1

Heh guess I needed that extra shot of coffee this morning
Brain crossed bit the bullet and pulled the trigger

Same here. Have been actively searching for an Airjo deal yesterday as I'm runnig low on beans, and ended buying from another seller. I like the fact that Airjo has a number of light roast blends to choose from, and the postage cost is included. Both my coffee machine and grinder work well with their light roast beans. I better learn their deal frequency for future purchases.

  • Thanks Dan. Yeah we found our new favourite coffee beans last deal and I placed a new order after I got Airjo's email alert earlier today. I should have ordered 2 bags but I don't how a feel about stocking up on freash beans. Anyway, thanks again mate, love your work. Cheers, Rod

Thanks so much rodtp - we really appreciate you sharing and it's great to hear you have a new favourite :)
Fresh is always best if you can make it work for you!

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Just wondering, what do you guys use as a coffee grinder? From what I could see on the market it's all bulky and expensive…

    • +2

I use the BSGP (Breville the Smart Grinder Pro) at work. You can ask JB Hi-Fi for a deal via Live Chat. We got ours for $220: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/breville-the-smart-grinde…

For home use I'd prefer Baratza Encore ESP: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/search?page=1&query=Baratza%20Enco…. FYI Baratza is also owned by Breville.

Why BSGP at work and Baratza at home? You can dial in your shot easily thanks to the digital display on the BSGP.

I have a Timemore 064S for espresso, and at work I have a Lido E hand grinder (old main grinder) set to coarse for pour overs.

    • I use Eureka Mignon Specialita that I bought from this deal last year for about $516. Great grinder and relatively queit too. A decent grinder will set you back several hundred bucks, unfortunately.

    • ITOP 40S off Ali express for $271. Sold in the US as a Turin SD40
Very happy with it so far

  • Hey Dan,
I'm interested in grabbing a bag but I currently don't own a grinder so looking to get it preground. I'm mostly going to be using a cold brew pot but I've been looking at getting a plunger as well. I'm not too sure on the ground settings for both methods, which grind would you go for multipurpose?

    Cheers

    • +1

Hey there itzinfinite and thanks for asking - it's usually a "no go" to try for a "multi-purpose" grind but in this case they are reasonably close in size and similar in extraction method. In this case I would go Plunger grind and use that for the cold brew as well.

If any of your fellow OzBargainers have advice it would be great if they could yell out too.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks! I decided to just play it safe and got the cold brew grind (for cold brew only) :) Very excited!

  • Great timing, thanks

    • Awesome codfish - thanks so much!

  • I seem to remember a new blend in the works some time ago that I still can't see. Having gone through the whole range several times over I'd be really keen to try something else - any update on this?

    • +2

Your patience is much appreciated Hinee - It's on the "Lets get this done!" list on the whiteboard and final blend testing is almost finished. I'm guessing late this month.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • If you ever need a hand with taste testing I'm ya guy!

        • Haha - good to k ow Hinee thanks!

  • Been loving the Pegasus, just placed another order! 🕺

    • There you go! Thank you Rick James18!

  • Hey, I am big fan of the ENTERPRISE BLEND for my lattes. But I want to move to expresso (/long blacks) which blend would you guys recommend.

    Thanks, Sati

    • Hey there varma_sati - Enterprise will be great for black coffees as well Alternatively you could try the Sumatra or Pegasus for something different.

      I hope that helps
      Cheers
      Dan

  • Just wondering what the decaffeination process is for you decaf blends?
I'm just venturing into decaf and have heard there are a few methods

    • Hey there DrRetail - great question. Our decaf is Swiss water processed.

      I hope that helps
      Cheers
      Dan

      • thanks! i'll look it up

  • now that Aldi has put their price to $20, this is a no brainer - thx grabbed a kg

    • Thanks so much botchie!

  • Hey Dan,
What do you recommend for pour over?
I was trying to browse your site and pardon the pun, but I couldn't filter for a filter bean :)
Would be great if you added that to the range on which bean suits what type of coffee.

    • Hey there Twragg - I would recommend Colombia as a good one to start with.

      Cheers
      Dan

    Any recommendation for milk-based coffees?

    • Hey there P-BARGAIN - The Enterprise Blend is a great one to start with. Thaks for asking.

    • It will be great drasticmeasures1337, I am super confident. Thanks so much.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Hi! @Airjo, I have a daily long black with two shots (no sugar), have been buying the Enterprise blend on and off. I'm looking for more creamy caramel tones, should I stick with enterprise or can you recommend something to try?

    • Hey there Felixrising - I recommend you try the Sumatra or Pegasus - super keen to hear how either goes for you compared to the Enterprise.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Coffee noob with a semi auto latte go 3200 Machine. Normally use St Ali orthodox at double the price.

Any coffee gods able to highlight if worthwhile?

    • Same here, recently got an aeropress so very new to buying coffee beans!

  • Was wondering what dose size you use for your espresso recipes, I’ve been aiming for 18g in 45g out most times (Pegasus) but wanted to know what was the go from the source :)

    • Hey there HazzaMuzza - we have a recipe as a guide on each of the blend pages specific to each blend. They are just a starting point for you to aim for and tweak from there to your personal preference. Great question and thanks for asking.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Hey Dan, I’ve been a regular customer of AirJo for 2+ years now and these type of deals are great value. I pretty much buy my stock from these deals but the timing doesn’t always line up from when I finish a bag to buying a new bag. Would it be possible to get a sort of loyalty discount / special discount code so that I can pretty much order a new bag as soon as one runs out?

    • Hey there WhyThingsCostMoney - thanks so much for your loyal business. If you take a look at the back of the bag from any recent purchase you will see a QR link to your VIP code. Thats a great option between these deals.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Which of your blends is best for cappuccino/latte drinks? Something like you would find at a good cafe e.g similar to Campos or Gabriel house blends. Unfortunate the decaf is out of stock, would have grabbed a bag of that too.. any idea when the decaf will be back in stock?

    • Hey there jar-unit2 - Thanks for asking. I would recommend you start with our Enterprise Blend. The Decaf will likely be a couple more weeks before back in stock.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks Dan, just ordered. Look forward to trying this and the decaff when it comes back in stock

  • Hey Dan,
I went to order some decaf late yesterday evening, but got distracted and fell asleep… Any chance you'll restock before the sale ends? Thanks!

    • Unfortunately not chickendogmancat - it's likely a couple of weeks away. We had a fair bit ready for the sale but clearly not enough. It got hit pretty hard overnight.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Hooked on Thunderchild. Order #12 placed.

Wow - now that's commitment to the coffee cause :)
Great work kloner and thank you!

  • First order let’s go!

  • I'm interested in your current deal and I drink my coffee black, without any added milk or sugar. Could you recommend which of your coffee blends would be best suited for drinking black? Cheers.

    • Hey there Andrew - thanks so much for your interest.
I recommend you start with our Enterprise Blend.

I hope that helps and thanks again.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Hi, purchased a bag (Enterprise) and had it delivered yesterday. I noted the roast date was the 15th of May. Can these be used straight away or do i need to wait a period of time before the C02 dissipates? thanks

    • +1

Hey yeowie - no reason you can't rip into them now - super fresh has it's own unique flavours and then it will further develop over the coming days.

I hope that helps and thaks for your order.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Just bought a coffee machine.
Trying to find the perfect bean.
What's the best option for cappuccinos? Enterprise?

    • Hey Bugs congrats on the new machine! - Definitely start with the Enterprise as your first one - if you need a hand dialling in with the new kit reach out any time [email protected].

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Bummer! That expired quickly.
