Lenovo M11 wifi version are on sale 299aud, and 349aud for the data version at goodguys, officework, bigW
Could be price error at Mwave as their wifi version is 349aud, more expensive than this data version which should be the other way around.

Grabbed one thanks. Perfect for tax return & since it's under the $300 limit no need to depreciate over years.

    • Ahh. Thanks. That's a good idea

    • can you explain how you write it off your tax please?

I assume you did not mean "perfect to DO my tax return ON the tablet"

      Thanks

      • +3

It means it's under $300 so he can claim deductions for the full amount instead of gradually claiming depreciation each year. Which means he will get $140 back in tax this year because he is a rich mfker on the top tax bracket.

        • deduction for what? home office supply?

Or you can buy whatever under 300 and claim back without proof?

          • +2

@borgainerz: As long as it's work related. Yes technically u need proof but hey the Ato isn't going to ask for video evidence every time you use the tablet that it actually is for work purposes.

            • @Jaduqimon: I mean these days every industry can claim phone & tablets.. If you are a tradie and need to check your schedule etcetc.

          • +2

@borgainerz: for me I use the tablet as a productivity device for emails, looking up reference materials, etc.

very standard, the ATO is not going to make you justify a $300 tablet.

A good option for those who value Australian warranty over specs. Otherwise, pay a bit more for a Chinese tablet (like the Doogee T30 Pro/Max) for double the storage and a G99 chip, which according to nanoreview is about 30% faster.

    • +3

But at least Lenovo is a brand name. Quality wise must be better I think

      • +2

True, I am worried about that small brands don't actively fix system issues and upgrade to the next version

      • -2

The Lenovo name appears on so much tat coming out of China via the usual cheap routes that it's a trashed brand now at the lower end of the tech market.

        • Sadly you're incorrect. Its Lenovo not releasing their "high tier" tablets for the Australian market.

          • @Griffindinho: Even when they release high tier items the price is massively increased or the specs are worse i.e Lenovo Laptops.

            • @dazza826: I'm talking about their tablets, not laptops.

              • @Griffindinho: I know you are.

The same thing applies to Lenovo when it comes to laptops though and not releasing them into the aus market.

We tend to not get high tier models, features etc or if they do a aus release the price is crazy.

Really wish we got some of the lenovo tablet high tier models here too and at a decent price like the y700 etc.

                • @dazza826: That's why you buy from Aliexpress, only downside is Russian roulette with warranty.

                  • @Griffindinho: Yep ended up grabbing a Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 when the last Aliexpress sale was on recently.

                    Just waiting for delivery.

Russian roulette was the $299 catch 8gb Samsung a9+ (no one got the 8gb model, all got 4gbs and took a while to process a rma and receive a refund after return)

                    • +1

@dazza826: I've been using the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 flashed to global Lenovo P11 Pro 2nd Gen. Working great, so much better than any alternatives available in Australia. Even better than the S9 FE.

          • @Griffindinho: I didn't mention their high tier products. I'm talking about the $2 TWS and the "smart sunglasses" and all the other crap that ends up with the Lenono badge on.

  • Before buying a Lenovo tablet I suggest that you read this re the M10+. Lenovo have never admitted that there is a problem.

    • Interesting. I had the m10+ for a year without issues but then I gave it to my boomer dad and he has these issues.

It didn't require a restart, though. Just sleep/wake and it was back to normal.

  • Good price if you want LTE but I'd recommend the Samsung A9+ over this.

    • +1

I agree too! But A9+ only has 64g with 4g ram.

      • There's an 8/128GB version of the A9+, but it's around $399

  • Bought the bing lee ebay sell 4/128 for $169.
    Came with the stylus pen

    • Did the stylus work for you? Wouldn’t work for me

      • Still didn't have any luck getting the pen working? I think you had to tell it you had a pen, in the settings somewhere?

  • +1

    Screen: LCD

Price is good but this breaks the deal for me!

  • Wow, they're up to M11 now.

    • +1

See a lot of weird product names related to popular Apple products, like MateBook Pro which looks like a MacBook Pro from wish.com.

  • +1

Waiting on @Clear to come up with a counter bargain. 😊

    • +6

Too bad there isn't an AliExpress sale on. However last time I did counter it with the Chinese version that can be reflashed to this.

Dunno why Lenovo opted to release this model in Australia besides high profit margins. The Helio G88 is an old and yucky CPU. Lenovo sure love to provide a laggy tablet experience in the west.

      • G88 seems to be the budget soc of choice for low end to mid tier devices.

        Shame really.

        • +1

Yeah it should be the G99. At least that still holds up pretty well.

  • +1

I bought this and the pen did not work for me, even tried new batteries. Anyone else?

    • need to turn on the bluetooth.

      • Bluetooth is definitely turned on. Don’t recognise it. Are there any lights on the pen?

  • Will Lenovo be able to restrict WiFi function by locations?
    Because I have this product.
Its WiFi is working in Australia, but not working in China.
(shows connected to WiFi, but internet is restricted. Even tried with mobile hotspot, same result)

    • Not sure if this will work but try using the WARP android App (https://one.one.one.one/)

Had trouble connecting to some sites when we were on holiday in Indonesia and the free version of WARP (1.1.1.1) fixed it .

      • Thanks a lot.
        Let me try
