  • Nice catch mate. Just realising now how many times in the past a stubby screwdriver would've come in handy.

    • I’ve never needed a screwdriver for my stubbies.

Bought this recently for $30 and happy. The bits fit well in the shaft and storage. When popped up, the storage wobbles to facilitate access. It's just well designed.

For ~$2 more you could have had the ratcheting version.

I feel better now. I thought this was the ratchet version. The ratchet rocks.

OP should consider adding that one too - its a good deal

      • Excellent, grabbed one thankyou :)

Please note that the bits are different for these two versions. The ratcheting one does not have PZ bits.
        Non-ratcheting version: 2 x PH, 2 x PZ, 2 x Slot.
        Ratcheting version: 2 x PH, 3 x TX, 1 x Slot.

In terms of useful bits (but not ratcheting), I think this bicycle set would be better, as it has hex heads which are a bit more DIY furniture friendly. However torx is a bit useless for most people, and this one is missing a standard PH2 and slot. Would be nice to have PH + Flat + Hex in a kit.

        • Thats true but no big deal to swap the bits out

      • $2 more? It's $11 more. Still a good deal though.

        • +1

$2 more than the $30 he paid for the non-ratcheting (which actually turned out to be the ratcheting one).

          • @P1xellat3d: Ah, you're right. I was comparing the posted deal rather than their purchase.

      • Thanks for pointing this out. Grabbed myself and the old man one, netting the extra 9% off.

  • Non-ratcheting?

The captive bit storage sounds cool though.

    • Yes.

This is a great tool. I use it heaps.

    • I thought it was ratcheting based on the Amazon description:
      Description
Wera 008874 Kraftform Kompakt Stubby Magazine 2 Bit Holding Screwdriver is particularly small bitholding screwdriver with extremely short bit mounting for hard to reach areas. With ratchet function and fine toothing for a low return angle. Easy-to-operate reversible ring (right, fixed, left).

But based on the image differences with the other model linked, likely not.

Guy looks extremely serious in the picture, I want the same screwdriver serious men use!

    Wera deal, upvoted

Bought the ratcheting version recently at $30.45, possibly a better deal.

  • Wow lots of Wera deals @Amazon right now lol

    • Great tools at these prices even for your average DIYer but not really worth it otherwise unless you're in an electrical trade imo

  • $10 more for ratchet is probably worth it

  • Is this better than the Amazon Basics 12-in-1 Magnetic Ratchet Screwdriver for $21.90?

  • Refunded without a reason :(
