Not sure if I can trust Kogan and their white label products with something that can carry a fire risk if made poorly like batteries or chargers. I’d wait for a sale of the same product from a more popular and probably more reliable brand like INIU, Baseus or Ugreen. Anker and Xiaomi are becoming overpriced imho.

    • correct. run away from kogan branded item. pretty photos, glowing specs, the real product is crap. landfill from day one.

The micro usb input is way out dated.

Good thing you don't have to use it

Kogan is s*it… no more, had a bad recent experience, even though I have been vocal in their support, it is not worth buying either from them direct or through their sellers marketplace.

    • Yep. Most people buy once from kogan and disappointed. No matter how low the price and the expectations. Still angry at the end

      • and the expectations.

here's a story from someone else who didn't know better about kogan. they thought it was just another Aus store like JB HiFi.

back then there was no text or very very small text that would show you it was from 3rd party seller. someone I know bought something.
seller used a unknown courier they never heard of before, no delivery attempted. few days later they get an email from dodgy courier "your item is back at courier warehouse, please pay $XX for another delivery attempt". complete bs because first delivery never attempted.
I told them to just get full refund the product is probably crap anyway. they had to deal with many emails over weeks just to get refunded item cost - never attempted delivery cost.
I think the dodgy 3rd party seller (most likely not even in Aus) does this deal with dodgy couriers, tries to claim failed delivery attempt so courier makes extra $$. if they don't respond they rely on customer to give up getting refund. dogdy dodgy never again I told them.
at beginning of refund process kogan's only response is "not our problem, here is the email of the 3rd party seller"

I can attest to a similar Kogan powerbank I bought from them. Bought because of the cheap price and allure of good specs… It expanded quickly and the Xiaomi one I had bought before that one is still running well today.

    • Another buy one and never again story… for me i was stupid enough and bought 3 times. But never again. Please share to all your friends

    • Did it expand in battery capacity?

I have 2 power banks from Kogan that I bought years ago. One of them started expanding last week and the other one is working fine. But the micro USB input on this one is a deal breaker for me.

    • +1

Why is the micro USB a deal breaker, are you allergic to micro USB ports? You don't have to use it…

  • Had a similar one. Mine didn't expand but became very unreliable. After fully charging it sometimes ran out the next day and the electronics started behaving strange so threw it out just to avoid a fire hazard.
