With Mother's Day around the corner, does anyone have any recommendations for a flower & gift basket delivery service that won't cost the earth?
Yeah, use Google map, then search for "Flower and gift basket delivery", if your mum live in a different state, try this for example "Melborune Flower and gift basket delivery"
The closer it gets to Mother's day, the less chance you can get it delivered and higher the price.Australia Post shop online or Peter's of Kensington.
You're welcome.
Are you going to be using a local florist or is the person somewhere else?
Mother’s Day is the biggest day of the year for florists. Valentine’s Day being the second. They do the majority of their trade for the year on these days so don’t expect bargains. Maybe chocolate instead if you’re wanting to go cheap?
Merged from Mother's day flower bargains
Anyone come across any flower bargains so far? Everytime I choose something it's saying not deliverying today with only real expensive stuff available.
I can't imagine why that might be.
Wait, you mean last minute flower purchases on mother's day are both expensive, and not available for same day delivery ?
What a shocking new development.
Royal Commission time.
OI MISTER PRIME MINISTERRRRRR
@Jimothy Wongingtons: Probably albo's fault :)
Instead of needing a specific day to tell your mum you love her just spend time with her monthly/weekly, tell her you love her and skip the flowers altogether?
That's the better bargain.
True, but gotta give mum the ability to flex on the other Chinese aunties in the WeChat group when everyone be sharing what their kids got them.
(But inevitably always get smoked by that one aunty who is low key depressed living in a giant mansion, absent husband and two sons that are high end doctors)
Time to learn some Photoshop AI trickery.
@Daabido: These Chinese aunties already know all about filter/ai trickery haha
Wait until around lunchtime. By then you'll be able to find plenty of roadside traders who have collected flowers left on graves at the local cemeteries.
Or you could just stop by the cemetery yourself for even bigger bargains.
At first I thought this was a joke… but why can I imagine this seriously happening …
Woolies full price this morning, not sure they'll discount them at all as not specifically for mother's Day
Wait till 30 min before closing and prepare to enter the circle of death with the others
and get a roast chicken
.@Nugs: that was cooked four hours before hand and is mysteriously missing one leg.
@Daabido: So… can I get it cheaper or no
@Nugs: No roast chicken meal is complete without
2L Coke
6 pack rolls from bakery section
Ceaser salad kit
Bakery mud cake
Pack of Winnie blues@Jimothy Wongingtons: If you can afford Winnie blues, you can afford full priced flowers.
@Daabido: That could be the reason they can't afford full price flowers
Next you’ll be telling us you can’t get a lunch reservation at anywhere decent today
I hope you're ready for an unforgettable (home made) luncheon!
If only you lived in Tasmania, you could have said you bought her the aurora australis;
