  • Good deal. I bought this November 2023 for $30.54

Bought the previous mighty Q8 Pro which is ridiculously bright when full brightness, but it will dim within 1 minute or half a minute, since it overheats a lot when maintaining full brightness. A bit meh about the torches over 10,000 lumens…

This little one might be better with overheating issues.

I'd much rather a sc31. the sc21 does seem to get warm quite quickly

After all why not? Why shouldn't I buy another impulse fuelled torch?

Don't remind me. If I don't look at it, it doesn't exist.

  • In the specs sheet, it shows a running time for 1 hour @ 1100 lumens, then 54 mins @ 600 lumens then 52 mins @ 450 lumens. Run time increases with the remainder of the other options. That's very strange, was there an error in the printing of that page and they meant to add 1 hr 54 mins & 1 hr 52 mins respectively? Only a 2 mins difference between 600 & 450 lumens? Strange

  • I got a couple of these in 2700k from AliExpress if memory serves. Sofirn's website doesn't charge GST but the discounts usually aren't as good.

    Phew, it went OOS.

  • Seems to be some torch experts here, so hopefully someone can help me - I need a zoomable (hopefully rechargeable) torch for when I do deliveries at night (hence the zoom, so I can light up the house number). Any ideas for something that won't break the bank?

I'd like for a cheap LEP (laser excited phosphor) torch such as the Lumintop Thor II. Check out AliExpress or similar for lowest prices.

LEPs have a very tight beam making them almost useless for general purpose lighting, but if all you need to do is light up stuff for a distance, they're great at this.

      is your friend.

But if.want a narrow beam (but not zoomable) Sorfirn if22a is great.
