nbn FTTP Router Recommendations

Recently obtained my FTTP upgrade and using my current TP link vr1600v router which I obtained years ago.
I want something that has a better signal to the whole house and a more updated router.

Any recommendations welcomed.

    I am assuming those that downvoted this aren't familiar with this modem. I am running 2 of these for different FTTP connections. One for gigabit and it is handling it fantastically. The fact you can find them on marketplace / gumtree for as low as $20-$30 on occasion and the fact they support wifi 6 is great.

  I'm using a RT-AX6000 + two mesh nodes. I would recommend something from the RT-AX86 range.

  I found the jump to AX gave better range but depending on your setup you may still require multiple nodes.

  Wifi 6 and beyond

  They seem to have actually got to grips with workable delivery at this point.

  Generally shouldn't need mesh if you place the router right, but if you do, go triband.

  Thinking to go the mesh system route (as it's more stable and consistent) - any suggestions on this path?
  Been advised the Netgear Orbi Dual-Band WiFi 6 Mesh System (Router + 2 Satellites) is the way to go
