LawnHub Ultimate Spray Pack $143.65 + $16.95 Delivery ($0 ADL C&C/ $200 Order) @ Lawn Hub

LIQUID15

Good price on their ultimate spray pack. We installed a new lawn recently and have been using LawnHub liquid fertilisers on it to great effect.

Still very much a lawn newbie but enjoying how quickly liquid fertilisers work. Iron (Money Shot) is particularly impressive at making the lawn so green that it looks fake.

You don't need a fancy sprayer, I have been using a cheap-o Bunnings one but looking to upgrade to a battery sprayer in the future.

Stock up ready for your spring renovation!

Description from LawnHub:

The Ultimate Spray Pack is our collection for those of you with spraying equipment looking to have the best lawn on the street.

The pack includes NSFW, ROOTS N SHOOTS, WET, MONEY SHOT and THREEWAY.

The Ultimate Spray Pack is suitable for use year round. You can use the products in line with our calendar or as required based on your lawns needs.

So what's in the pack?

NSFW

NSFW Herbicide for broadleaf weed control in turf is a formulation containing the active ingredients, MCPA as potassium salt, clopyralid as potassium salt and diflufenican. It is used at an application rate of 50ml per 100m2.

Broadleaf weeds including;

White Clover (Trifolium repens),
Plantain (Plantago lanceolata),
Capeweed (Arctotheca calendula),
Cat’s ear (Hypochoeris radicata),
Bindii (Jo-Jo, Onehunga) (Soliva sessilis),
Cudweed (Gnaphalium spp.),
Creeping oxalis (Oxalis corniculata),
Benefits

High level of efficacy
One standard application rate
No volatility concerns
Superior turf safety (cool and warm season grasses)
A mix of active ingredients for improved resistance management
No odour
Additional surfactants not required
Current broadleaf turf herbicides have a tendency to cause rapid desiccation of weed leaves and shoots. Recovery may then occur from the significant root systems and/or other underground components of the weed. This unique three-way mixture provides extended weed control (season-long) in most situations.

Active Constituents:
20 g/L CLOPYRALID present as the potassium salt
15 g/L DIFLUFENICAN
300 g/L MCPA present as the potassium salt

Product & Pack

Application Rate is 50mL per 100 square metres
500mL pack treats 1000 square metres in total
Be sure to READ and FOLLOW the product label in FULL before using.
ROOTS N SHOOTS

ROOTS N SHOOTS can be used as a soil or foliar applied supplement in a regular nutrition program for turf. Multiple applications may be needed throughout the season especially during periods of stress. The application rate may need to be varied with changes in turf variety and use. ROOTS N SHOOTS is a product that contains a powerful concentration of kelp for the promotion of root and shoot development. This highly concentrated liquid BULL KELP combined with slow release nitrogen in a DiMethylene Urea (DMU) form increases leaf adheration and uptake, also decreases leaching from soil. When combined with a standard fertilizer regime, significant plant growth advantages are obtainable.

Mix 60-100mL of ROOTS N SHOOTS with between 6-10L of water/100m² of actively growing lawn and apply during early morning or late afternoon to reduce evaporation. Do not spray when windy.

WET

Its vital to retain moisture in your soil profile if you want to grow a lush lawn. Lawnhub WET is used to improve the retention and distribution of moisture in fine cut turf surfaces. Professional turf managers apply products like WET during Spring and Summer to give their lawn the best chance of being perfect.

Apply at a rate of 250-500ml in 5-10L of Water per 100m2.

WET's specialty non-ionic surfactant formulation improves moisture retention
Lasts up to 3 months
Encourages more even growth
Exceptional turf safety due to non-burn formulation
MONEY SHOT

Lawnhub MONEY SHOT will make the grass greener on your side of the fence. MONEY SHOT is like a steroid for your lawn. You can apply this 5-7 days before a party or event and your friends will be green with MONEY SHOT.

MONEY SHOT is a foliar product which means it needs to be applied to the leaf of your lawn. Make sure you don't mow for at least 24 hours after applying.

The recommended application is 200-400mL per 100m². Add the MONEY SHOT to at least 5L of water and apply directly to the leaf of the lawn. Be careful not to get any MONEY SHOT on paving or cement as it is likely to stain.

THREEWAY

THREEWAY is a product we developed in conjunction with our good friend Simon Rice. Lawnhub has come up with an ideal NPK formulation with the added benefit of trace elements that is perfect for use as a maintenance fertiliser. THREEWAY looks beyond aesthetics and delivers exactly what the lawn needs to be as healthy as possible.

There are three great things about THREEWAY.

  1. It can be applied a foliar fertiliser or a soil drench.

  2. The Nitrogen component is 50% Methylene Urea and is controlled release for up to 8 weeks.

  3. The trace elements are in EDTA chelated form. This is an extremely stable form and optimized for uptake through leaves and roots.

If you are using this product as a foliar fertiliser, ensure sufficient soil moisture levels and simply mix 200ml with 10L of water and spray on the leaf of the grass. This mix will cover 100m2. If applying as a foliar fertiliser, make sure you delay mowing for at least 24 hours post application.

If you choose to use as a drench fertiliser, mix 800ml with 20L of water apply to the lawn and water in well.

We suggest that while ROOTS AND SHOOTS, THREEWAY and MONEY SHOT may all be tank mixed these products also may have increased efficacy on their own. Always test the products you are mixing in a jar with the correct ratio of water.

Always mow without your catcher when you can.

Blows my mind why people put all that absorbed sunlight energy and expensive fertiliser in the bin.

Cuttings dry in a day, disappear under a week.

    • Only do this if you have a mulching blade or are cutting off a small amount of height.

    • Blows my mind why people put all that absorbed sunlight energy and expensive fertiliser in the bin.

Isn't that only for 'mulch' setting on mowers?

      disappear under a week.

Tell that to my lawn :(

      • I have a mix of Santa Anna and Kykuyu.

In SA though (4.2mm of rain since Christmas!) So the blades of grass are already dried and withered to nothing by the time I finish mowing (normal mower). If wet, I just grab a rake and quickly break up any clumps.

Also, at the end of winter when winter weeds pop up, I will use the catcher and put it in a compost bin to catch any seeds (maybe 2 mows). Will try a winter weed preventative prep this year as my Santa Anna lawn is currently mint…and haven't added any fertiliser this year. Also hardly water it even when so dry. Did get a lot of rain pre Xmas that is obviously holding up well with 4 months of no rain since.

When we bought the house the 'lawn' was patchy clay, dead spots and weeds everywhere. Now the lawn mulch has left a nice organic layer and keeps the water in, stops the clay from cracking and the Santa Anna has filed in all the patches. Did weed and feed at first. Again, why throw it away in your clippings (unless full of weed seeds).

Funny enough, peeing on the Kykuyu keeps the runners in check and any booming clumps slow down. Did notice a big constituent of weed n feed was urea. So it gets some natural fertilizer from time to time!

Anyone tried/ recommend a pre emergent winter weeder from Bunnings (about a 1/8th the price of lawn porn). They have a few options?

        • Check the application rates. Spartan is expensive but it's only 40ml per 100sqm

    • I finally got a mulching mower (and paid dearly for it) and it’s great, but before that this would have been messy advice.

    Is this stuff any good?

To be honest, I've seen this brand mentioned many times on lawn care groups, but I'm skeptical of any company that names themselves after a pornography site. Even their product names seem unprofessional; makes me question their legitimacy.

    • Not a fan of Lawnporn products either I'm guessing?
      Its just clever marketing/branding.

      • Never heard of "LawnPorn". Just looked at their website after I read your comment & I would have to say "pass". I agree their name is also questionable, but their website design feels outdated. Are their products any good?

[edit] Keeping in mind, there's many other companies out there that would be competing against them. "Clever marketing" like that could have a negative impact on their business too. I'm sure I'm not the only people that see this as an issue.

I haven't used it but people rave about it. Their target market is 30+ year old guys who like to post photos of their lawns and beers to social media so the product names are spot on for the demographic.

      • I've read of other products people speak highly about. They too post well looked after lawns to social media. Many of them are 30+ as well. But their product names are more professional. I understand the name stands out & gets people looking, but it also raises the question about their authenticity & quality imo.

alright grandad. The kids think it's funny

Even their product names seem unprofessional; makes me question their legitimacy.

You're obviously not the target market. Neither am I.

      • alright grandad.The kids think it's funny

I'm not quite there yet, sonny.

You're obviously not the target market. Neither am I.

Their target should be anyone that's interested in lawn care, whether it be professional or hobby.

    • Both this and the lawnporn products claim to be the same stuff that professional turf managers use. Just in small packs as opposed to 1000L pallet tanks intended for a golf course. They seem to work for my lawn and the pricing is pretty good compared to hardware store brands when you compare the coverage rates.

    • I have used Roots N Shoots and Threeway on my Sir Walter Buffalo and I could see turf responding very well. They also give you calendar with it which helps you when to apply certain products. I think their products are top notch much better than Green shed generic one. Also their support is top notch if you have any questions ( dealt with Adam from Lawn Hub).

They also have live Q&A every friday at around 2.30 pm AEST on Youtube/FB.

  • Any deals on the weed and feed pack?

So the "bargain" here is that it's named after a porn website?

    How edgy! /s

I work in the battery industry and we have cringeworthy names like "Kickass", "Overkill" and "Hardkorr" as well.
