  • How compare to the anaconda sleeping bags?

Are there any sleeping bags big enough for two people? i am planning to take my new gf to the blue mountains for some cozying up.

yea id suggest one where you can also split it into 2 singles to make it more flexible

We have 2 queen size, -7 kelty and 0 deg chinesium which we used last weekend in 6-7 deg C, used a 300gsm as a base and lighter one as an extra blanket and I was pretty warm except for my hand which was numb when I woke up in the middle of the night

Wife used the -7 on a 17-18 deg C and she was ok, I tried it for 1 min and started to overheat. I was hot in the 0 deg C and slept in shorts

As you can see, even going off ratings people sleep hot/cold

      • Yeah the ratings are not remotely accurate. For all but the most hardened cold-weather sleepers you should add 10⁰C on to whatever it says… or use it in a swag.

Even then you'll still want to be close to some fire or coals if it doesn't make the grade.

    • AFAIK OzTrail and Colmen do. But in most case you can zip 2 non-hooded bags together to form 1 double.

The pros of not joining 2 singles is you dont have to dissassemble and reassemble each time.

Note 10c…. In my experience these numbers are optimistic, so this is a summer only option.

    • Yeah, like how a '4 man tent' sleeps two comfortably, 4 if you're shoulder to shoulder packed in like sardines.

150gsm yea its pretty light, better to get something warmer and unzip in summer if you dont want numerous sleeping bags

A cheap silk sheet would lighter, take up less space in the pack, and be warmer.

very much needed deal with GFC

  • can anyone share their experience with these?

    • +2

I've got experience with a few comparable ones

It's about as warm as a tarp, so if you are planning on going anywhere that might be cold, this is not a good idea

      • Ah thanks! I’ll pass.

  • +2

Ah, sleeping bags. My favourite electronic item.

    • chargeable?

  • The eBay voucher seems to apply to only one purchase per order, but you can use it on multiple orders. Just sharing it anyone else wants to buy 2 - 2 orders of 1 item are cheaper than 1 order of 2 items.
