  • h264 or h265?

    or h264+ or h265+?

very good price as a baby monitor, but can this be recorded on a laptop? ftp?

    • h264 according to vlc (for the c210).

You'd need an app to record the rtsp stream (I've used zoneminder on linux before), as it only records to SD card or cloud if you have a subscription.

  • whats the difference with this TC71 one?

how do you get around glare and it not working at night when inside looking outside through a window? Is the only solution putting it outside? Any easy DIY and non-permanent solutions for that?

    • +3

If you have street lighting, you can probably get away with leaving it in day mode. It wont be the same as proper night mode (without a window), but it works well enough.

Put it in a black lined box and tape the box to the window?

I have two street lights in view of my c210. Glare isn't too much of an issue, I find the reflection and overall low quality more irritating.

Besides the other suggestions, there isn't a lot you can do other than getting an external one like the c310 (if you have a powerpoint) or a rechargeable one like the c400.

  • This one doesnt have battery to back it?

    • +2

I have the C210 and can confirm no battery is in it - it has to remain plugged in to power at all times
