Haha mate. Most of it. All people - Stop consuming table salt which is deprived of all microelements/trace minerals. You have only sodium and potassium. For proper body functioning we need the above elements.
@Palmax: I agree that the soil is now so depleted that vegetables are pretty nutrition-free, but you're not going to make it up with Himalayan salt given that it's also low in nutrients or trace elements that you're kidding yourself thinking it's supplemental.

This is correct. It's pretty, though, and it is nicer than supermarket salt (in general).
Just eat little bit at a time, by the time you reached 80, you get the extra little benefit than regular salt eating person. 😉
If they have to estimate and can't determine they are there by testing then they're probably not :D
But anyway, yeh while they do have more minerals you'd need to consume so much salt for it to be a significant intake that it probably doesn't matter.

Most himalayan pink salt are worse than normal table/cooking salt available at supermarket due to himalayan pink salt having very little trace of Iodine. Iodine deficency can be a very serious issue.

The mineral impurities that give it a pink color, often promoted as healthful, are far too low in concentration to help with your nutrition. You would have to eat a lethal amount of sodium to achieve helpful quantities of the other minerals.

In the 80’s and 90’s, people used to buy decorative figurines, lamps, and other items made from these pink salt crystals from Pakistan.
When those became unfashionable, the salt was resold as a fancy table salt.
I’m sure once the pink salt fad dies down (and it will), Pakistan will find another way to sell it to westerners.
