    First.

Not street legal, and will never be street legal, in South Australia.

      And nsw

    • what do you mean 'will never be street legal' in South Australia?
There's been a progressive movement towards micromobility (ebikes, escooters etc) around the world and I'm not sure why SA would be a perpetual holdout.

      • We like infinite trials down here.

        • ah yes. nsw is giving me the same vibes

      • They'll be legal at some point. Also I see people riding these all the time in the SA CBD and cops just ignore them.

I quick search on Google shows heaps of retailers cheaper than this. What’s the deal or am I missing something?

  • Hey @OldSchoolHarry

You're correct that not everyone is an authorised seller with official manufacturers warranty, so watch out! Luckily we are though and provide official manufacturers warranty that is supported by Segway Australia directly.

@vagfinger You just have to weigh up which offer is best for you.

    • Well how they sell cheaper than you? I mean they would have bought them from you at much lower price? Come on at least match dont just advertise

Word of caution - Segway warranty service isnt too great. Even been told that by shops selling them.

    • 100%. Attempted to get recognised design fault fixed, but it was impossible.

I bought through Amazon, and I'd probably only ever buy Segway through a retail outlet in the hope I can take it back to them to fix any problems.

      • Scooter Hut told me even if I buy on in store, Segway forces them to deal with Segway support - and it’s totally hit and miss.

  • Great Scooter I picked it up for $1120 via price beat at 99 bikes a back in March (no free helmet)

  • Bought it least year when it was newly released. Great scooter and it totally changed a lot transport up to 15km.

I use it to commute to the city (Melbourne) , to shops and to places where driving or public transport is too difficult

I think when using responsibly it can change life for many.

iscoot have them for $1199. They say they're 'Certified Segway Dealer', but not listed on Segway website.

    • That's a bit strange.

  • Why are they selling in nsw if its not yet legal? Isnt that a crime by itself?

    • You can ride it in your backyard.
