Booked using the 24% off code (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/839533) and it looks like the pre-discounted price was a lot higher earlier this month as 15% off for the exact same dates is only ~$5 cheaper now. Does Sydney Airport have a history of jacking up prices or is it supply and demand?

  • they have put the valet parking as the first option and that works out cheaper than park your own. I can definitely say it was cheaper when I booked with the better discount code. It was just under $170, and now with this discount would be $190….I didn't pick Valet as I definitely want it in that carpark and under cover, not possibly parked outside somewhere.

    • I’m comparing like for like - not valet vs park your own.

Realized in my last post, ~9% difference (24%-15%) could work out to be a $5 difference but in my case I paid circa 160 after discount so $5 difference does not compute.

      • like I said, for me the last deal was much better than this one, like for like, and the cost before the discount was the same for both……………..

Are there any deals for Brisbane International? They used to do them on occasion, but never do in recent years.

  • Just as an FYI for anyone looking to do this; the parking rate reverts to $95 a day if you are later picking up your car than was booked. My return flight from NZ was cancelled last week and I had to fly the next day instead, the extra charge had to be paid before I could collect the car from Sydney airport. Currently waiting for a refund from the airline.

Not a neg of the deal at all, just info to consider if your airline is prone to cancellations.

    • For long term parking, I just book a few days after my return flight, I find the prices don't change for a few days. Not sure if after a certain period they start charging in weeks instead of days?
