I bought the 6.8kg (I weigh 69kg. Nice.) from the previous deal.
I have a quilt as my 1st layer then put this blanket on top for extra warmth.
So far it works great. Retains/traps heat so I'm always warm when I have this on top and if my body instinctively gets too hot I wave my legs around and always wake up to this on the side of my bed.
But when this stays on top of me the whole night, I always get nightmares then I wake up sweating because I'm so hot.
10/10 did not advise that the weight of my nightmares was included.
Just picked one up from my local store (Roxburgh Park), I would recommend getting a heavier one even if you're in a lower suggested weight class. I weigh 70kg but the 9kg one still isn't the chest crushing weight I crave.
What does my body weight have to do with which blanket I should choose?
Yeah this is stupid.
If you're an adult always get the 9kg, otherwise it's a waste honestly
On average, people with a higher body weight will be of higher body volume and higher body surface area.
The pressure you feel from the blanket is its weight divided across your surface area. So if a large person wants the same feeling of pressure as a smaller person, they will need a blanket with a higher total mass. Because some of the blanket weight may be borne directly by the bed, this is kinda approximate, but you get the idea.
I’m tiny but very dense.

Like a black hole?
So there is a scientific explanation. Thank you for explaining it to us :)
BIRTHDAY10 will bring it down to $29
Seems like this is now expired?
They should bring back that cooling one they used to sell.
