Normal SIM in 4G Device

I'm planning to buy SuperLoop SIM https://www.superloop.com/mobile (SuperSim Saver 4G)
And have a Telstra 4GX Device - to be unlocked by Telstra.

So once the device is unblocked by Telstra, will I be able to use the Superloop SIM?
I spoke to Superloop support and they were clueless and said "No"

But keen to know if anyone has done it and it works?

Why Superloop - I have a Superloop NBN so this connection would come out to $15 a month with data banking up to 500GB.
And currently paying (Unfortunately) $20 for 20 GB with Telstra.

Yes, once unlocked it'll work. Unlocking means it'll work on any provider.

The general rule is that a device that is locked to a carrier will work on any ISP that uses that carrier without needing to be unlocked.

Superloop uses Telstra as its carrier. So Superloop uses the Telstra frequency bands. If it works like it generally does, you should be able to simply take out the Telstra SIM, fit the Superloop SIM, and it'd work.

I have to acknowledge though that I've never tried it with Telstra, and simply swapping a Telstra SIM for a Telstra ISP SIM may not work because Telstra has separate wholesale and retail networks. It could be there is some configuration change that has to be made.

Does anyone have any experience swapping between Telstra itself and one of its ISPs?

    • Boost Mobile didn't work on a Telstra locked tablet I had

      • So Superloop won’t work either, I’m guessing

  • I used to have a Netgear Orbi 4GX, believing that I was getting slightly better speed on Telstra's network. But I would expect the router would still work with a 4G sim. Best to confirm with the manufacturer of your device. Telstra is losing a customer/connection by unlocking so won't have any interest in further support.
