Connection Help for Meross Smart Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener

Hi. I recently got Meross Smart Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener MSG100.
I have Glideroll Genessis roller door motor.
I wanted to see where do I connect my Meross wifi unit to?
Will it go in two of these ports? (any 2?) - https://imgur.com/a/0dsMlRm

Your gdo user manual says you can install a wall button on image 4.2. The button should be connected to PB and GND. Try and short those 2 with the small wire that comes with your Meross. If it didn't come with that small wire try a paperclip. Just quickly short those 2 connectors, it should open/close your garage door. If that works then that's where you should wire the Meross.

    • Thanks. My unit did not come with any wall button. I only got 2 remotes. I will try with a paper clip to short PE and GND and attach meross there and see what happens.
One stupid question - when I try to short, do I wear rubber gloves or boots? or the current wont be much.

There shouldn't be much going on those connectors, they are for dry contact relays. Don't take my word for granted though. Read your user guide and mine as well wear PPE gear just in case.

        • Thanks for the help. I tried last night and it worked well.

  • How did you go getting the unit connected to wifi and working/testing?

I haven’t hooked mine up yet because I can’t get it connected. It drops out during the connection process

Yes, was not easy but eventually got it connected to wifi - being next to the router helped while setting up as initially it did not catch my wifi. I did inital testing within the app for the open/close animation which worked great.
I will try to attach it to the unit this evening.

Just check your WiFi Config with 5ghz and 2.4ghz. If it is "smart switching", that could be the issue. Most of these devices required 2.4ghz.

I have found that routers needed to be configured not to have smart switching dual networks on. Need to be off and two different SSIDs for 5ghz vs 2.4ghz.

Its not in all cases, but have had it happen many times.

Best way I've found, if you can't run multiple SSID's, is to just set it to 2.4GHz during setup, then once all done, change it back to dual mode 2.4 & 5

    • Did it work for you?

  • I got the wifi opener working fine but for the life of me I cant get the magnetic sensors to work.
They are so temperamental. I gave up on them

    • They work fine for me. Are they getting close enough? Does it work if you test them by hand?
