Technics AZ60M2 True Wireless Noise Cancelling in-Ear $249 + Delivery ($0 C&C/In-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

110

Same price on Amazon AU. The cheaper AZ40 is going for $149.

I have an older model AZ70 and easily one of the best sounding earbuds.

More suited for someone looking for better SQ rather than noise cancelling. Personally not of fan of Sony as the NC tend to be overkill and distorts SQ.

Marketing write up below:
Thanks to 8mm drivers, a special acoustic structure and category-leading noise cancellation, Technics latest AZ60M2 earbuds give you a clear sound advantage – wherever your busy day takes you. With a comfortable design, seamless device switching and crystal-clear sound quality – you won't miss a beat.

I got rid of my Bose QC Ultra for these and while the ANC is nowhere near as good as the Bose, almost everything else about these is better. They are a pleasure to use compared to the Bose.

How is the fit, my concern is them not having any stability on them. I have the Bose too and not impressed other than the noise cancelling. Constant buzz from them along with incredibly loud popping sounds…

Zero issues with the fit. I've got large ear holes and these stay in position nicely. You sort of do a cork-screw motion to get them in place.
I would recommend getting them on Amazon (assuming similar price) so you can send them back within 30 days if you don't like them (I would recommend that for any earbud).

    • What issues did you have with the Ultras?

      • +1

They never (and I mean literally never) both connected to my phone first time. I always had to put them back in their (cheap feeling) case try again. Factory reset did not fix the issue. Also I found the touch controls pretty infuriating and unreliable.
I've since RMA'd them and am about to sell the brand new ones I got as a replacement (I got them very cheap and can sell for more than I bought them for).

Unless it’s the person I’m going to sell the ones I currently own to, I would highly recommend avoiding the ultras.

  • Same price on Amazon

  • Thank you

  • Do I need to purchase Memory Foam Ear Tips for these?

    • +1

I have a set of memory foams. But generally dont use them except for plane rides. Well, the px7s2e work better anyway.

Not sure if these newer ones come with better tips.

    • There is a decent selection of tip that come with these. I didnt need any aftermarket ones.

      • Ones came with the AZ60 have memory foam insert?

Unfortunately, AZ70 ones didnt. But okay for day to day commute.

        • +1

Sorry, no not memory foam. I just meant that the provided (rubber) tips were decent.

@Pete Gabitas: Yes. 5 pairs of different size.

Nonetheless, excellent earbuds for the asking price.

  • Anyone looking for some cheap earbuds that just work I got these for under $30 from Amazon the other day

They are great, small case, decent battery, just pair easily. Sound quality I'm not sure, just use them to listen to podcast, watch videos. Also fit well into the ear and aren't big and bulky. Very surprised at how decent they are for sub $30

i have AZ80, its sounds good. but the common issue i got to know is, when we place earbuds back in the case, red light keep on blinking on the case. i did some research on that, seems we have to clean clean those charging pins inside the case with cotton which is annoying. i never did that for other brands before. it is keep on happening every now and then.

  • Just received mine and they are the best earbuds I've had

Try these if you need some extea isolation, handy for plane rides. They dont last (prob 3 month per pair) - cant complain for the price. Only s/m fits into the charging case.
