I got this (x3) on the previous deal, but still reckon this is a good price. Very solid piece of kit, used it today.

    • I’ve got one but I never use it. I prefer a little hand pick to dig up weeds. It is a good quality bit of kit though.

    Knife crime in the garden

    • Wanton destruction of weeds🚔

  • @BOGOF Thankyou! 👍 I bought 2, didn't even know these existed 😅 But they seem very handy and reviews are very positive, cheers 🍻

      Can confirm, these are fantastic

Was gifted one through Reddit Gifts years ago and still use it

@linkindan Thankyou! Everyone is saying good things and they look like a very solid piece of kit. Seems Iike a great invention and I imagine it will be very versatile in the garden. Plus the sheath is really good to have on any knife imo.

Crazy what the previous deal was, but this also seems like a fantastic price, especially given the glowing feedback. Maybe it will motivate me to actually get into the garden!? 😅

Anyone know if these would be good to use for a digging tool when metal detecting?

    • +1

Yep, I got my Lesche from a prospecting website.

    • +1

Yeah, I often use my Hori Hori for detecting. Had a Saxon copy from Bunnings which cost $10, and it broke in half on me. Junk. A quality hori knife is well worth it, I paid $50 on eBay.

    • ah, that's a shame, but at least it's still half price though

  • Could this dig a shallow trench to lay garden edging?

  • +1

    Good as a toe knife?

    • You won't botch it ever again!

  • +2

these are decent as entry level metal detecting diggers, garden spades break after a few days out

    Hmm promotional code not working?

    OOS now

    • What an absolutely stupid comment.

    • +1

Hopefully you missed the sarcasm tag, but just in case more knives (just like more guns) is not the answer.

      • -5

I know, 'more knives' is not the answer to the craziness which happened lately. But do you agree if the victims had some sort of weapon with them at the time, some of the casualties could have been mitigated?

        • +5

The answer is very clearly better mental health services.

If the attacker had an automatic firearm how much worse would the casualty count have been?
If everyone was carrying a weapon 'for self defence' consider how many arguments would escalate and result in death?
How many of your family, friends and acquaintances would you trust with a weapon?

I consider now to be too early for an analysis. Sadly too many people are grieving loved ones.

Go to Murica, your ideals arent welcome in Australia

  • One of the most useful tools you can have. I wear it on my belt whenever I am gardening. Great for weeding, planting and cutting roots. All the bush regen people carry these in their tool pouch too.

Not anywhere I’ve worked. I doubt it would even be 50%. Not saying they don’t in your area, just not where I’ve worked.
