It's Dell Latitude built like a tank for entry home business
the 3000 series are less well built though
But you just said it is not for home office use?
Wouldn’t this brand new one be better value? Also it comes with 1TB.

depends if you value more storage space or longer warranty as this one comes with 3 years prosupport
Agree with @snyper the deal here provides 3 year next day onsite warranty.
Having warranty cover for the first 3 years is pretty valuable, as is the onsite (you are not without your laptop during freight).
However, everyone's needs vary, the JW offer is good.
250 nit display is probably only good for indoor use.
How much time do you spend on your laptop outside in direct sunlight?
That said, I took my work laptop with me on holidays last year and worked by the beach for a few days, so long as the sun wasn't directly behind me it was great. It was a 250 nits dell as well.
Brighter would drain the battery so quickly it wouldn't really matter anyway.
You don't always get to sit in an ideal spot, a really bright window might just be enough to affect things.
My Latitude 5520 has very poor build quality compared to my previous Latitude 7390. Not sure the build quality of the 3000 series would be that good.
i dropped my niece 3440 better specs from waist height and only 2 hair line scratches on lid. still running after 13 months (3 years warranty)
Does DELL still throttle your CPU if you don't have a genuine power supply?
My Dell stopped recognising my genuine power supply as genuine and the CPU only runs at 25% speed. I bought a brand new power supply directly from Dell and even that is not recognised as genuine. Dell gave me a refund for the new power supply.
Have you tried a hard reset? That fixes the problem for me.
Not a problem if you use a USB-C charger. Many Dells including the above come with a barrel charger, but accept USB-C also.
Check eBay, can probably pick up a secondhand replacement charger for cheap.
we have various brands of docks at work, no issues with Dell laptops, my Surface pro is the fussy one, won’t charge on some docks.
Not very good value compared to the laptop deals that have been seen.
