Cheese snob here. Ok- good cheese and I won't attempt to entertain you with all the different things I can taste in this, but nowhere near worth $85/kg. Think maybe worth $55/kg, hardly. So not a bad price but the RRP is ridiculous.
    Thanks for posting OP

Got any better cheeses at $55/kg? Everything soft I find at that price is super average.

Costco/Kirkland Signature Brie is the best value. Aldi Le Pico if you are into goat cheese

Our group rated cheese without knowing the price and the Fromager D’Affinois Excellence, available at ~$50kg was top dog, Aldi triple cream brie was a surprise second and great value.

I agree that the RRP is crazy. Has gone up $20/kg in last couple years. It’s a crowd pleaser and always disappears when I’m entertaining. Absolutely better cheeses out there but this works 😊

It's not fair to state such things without providing the alternatives!

    • Is this the stinky one?

No just very creamy and approachable

    • Isn't being a cheese snob a bit like being a wine snob, i.e., it's mostly subjective once really obvious issues are out the way? E.g. I've had a $500 bottle of Grenache and it was foul because it was Grenache…

I much prefer this cheese to most of the bries and the like you can get at supermarkets (my local Woolies stocks this).

    • I found this cheese to have good creaminess but really lack in flavour, verging on bland. Could be mistaken though. I had the cube version. Still smashable but wouldn't go looking for it.

      Fromager D'affinois?

      All of it.

      • The 250g one? and in one meal? They are quite strong. It took me myself like a month to finish it.

Edit: Can buy per piece $12 each. The title is a bit unclear.
