For someone looking for a new card around the $600 mark, not too bad I guess?
Edit: Sapphire Pulse version also available $629 shipped @ Centrecom

amd and nvdia are both garbage
… not too bad I guess?
Welcome to OzBargain
Pretty bad choice with the only passable RDNA 3 card in terms of price and performance being the 7900 GRE
Mid-range GPU shoppers can wait a few more months - once Battlemage and RDNA 4 Navi 48 are announced, you will actually see some real competition between Intel and AMD
NVIDIA don't care so you'll still need to buy a TechFast prebuilt to get an RTX "cheap"
This is 75% of the performance of the 7900GRE for 67% of the price (and 10% lower power draw), the extra 4G memory might be worth it to some though. Doesn't matter to me, I've set my limit at $600 for any card so I'll continue to wait for more falls. If it comes out soon enough, maybe navi 44 if it has >8GB, or intel's next thing if they can sort out their performance/watt and tidy up the mesa drivers wrt linux game compatibility.
Would get the sapphire model for sure. Though. It still feels quite overpriced
How's this go for 2k gaming, looking to upgrade from a 1060 6gb and this would be Max for the budget
Wait for Intel Battlemage or RDNA4
Dont think I can wait till then, cards dying and hanging on by a miracle somehow lol. Thanks though
You should be looking at the secondhand market. Try an rx6800xt
@ThirtySixNights: 6800XT's are on second hand markets for 900+
I don't think it's a fair comparison at the moment.
2K gaming will be fine on this
Thanks, only bummer is psu upgrade as its 550w, think it will bottleneck a bit with a 3600 cpu?
550w will be fine to run this card.
ive run a 3070ti off of a 550w psu before (a known inefficient and power hungry card). people need to stop pearl clutching about how much PSU powaahh they need to power the average gaming rig.
Currently running (in my secondary computer) a 3600 and 6700xt off a 550watt. Was a big upgrade for me coming from a 1070ti.
Just do it, if it's going to die…
Edit can always undervolt by a super small amount to reduce the wattage, but think I was seeing 300 at the most.
How nVidia has fallen
This beats most of their garbage in terms of price and performance
