In b4 someone asks which code does what…. :/

  • Seems like this would promote loutish behaviour….

    So we can't stack codes.

Nice picture of @jv trying to ride an eScooter!

      • -1

        I don't have an e-Scooter.

        • +8

Noooooo silly, when you rent one.

          • @HamBoi69: The one in the pic you are commenting about is not a rental scooter.

              @jv: Thanks, captain obvious.

Throwback Sunday. Her knee has never been the same since.

    • Saw a lad in Chicago stack like this trying to hop the curb/kerb, broke the front forks and ate pavement doing about 25-30km/hr (or whatever equivalent speed they do is "Murica").

He was okay and gave me a little chuckle as the misfortune. Took a mental note to never try that on an eScooter.

  • When are they going to allow this in NSW? Allowed in some States but not in others. Get rid of state hood I’d say.

When life gives you lime you ride free for 30 mins

      Ride to the lemonade stand

  • is it in QLD?

They were the first in Brisbane but I haven't seen them for a long time. Now "Beam" and "Neuron" run the streets.

      • +1

Was going to ask the same thing, I have not seen a Lime Scooter in Bris for a long time.

    • They are in GC according to their website, not in brissy. They came to know iluvfreebies lives brissy so they decided to exit.

    • +1

Can confirm they are in GC and I see people using them all the time, surprising when the cost is usually the same as getting an Uber

      • Lots of them go tick tick tick tick in my part of the GC, which means it’s considerably cheaper than an Uber. Also a lot of young teens riding them, even though they are meant to be 16yo+.

        E-bikes but not e-scooters. Isn't it?

Beware many large areas in Gold Coast are No-Go areas for neither pickup nor stopping/parking/dumping.

Got the Lime App and my current residence happen to be right in one of those forbidden zones.
        Coincide with areas with atrocious/appalling 4G & 5G reception.
Or maybe just a coincidence …

  • These things just get trashed or used as public dumping grounds in Sydney.

    • +1

Shame really, when it's an usable transport option.

Probably why the traffic is so bad in Sydney right?? /s

  • +2

10 mins..just enough time to sink in the Torrens (SA).

Why are these things littered everywhere?

Does someone collect them and charge em once a day?

Are they the most stolen product ever?

    • They swap out the batteries..

  • +1

more cost effective, a free trip (plus activation fee) or a free activation and pay for the trip.

Is there a table w/ the costs so we can work it out?

  • I am an existing user and it doesn’t work for me? Is it only for new users ?

  • reminds me of trevor's scccooooooter brothers! scene
