Their whiskeys are used mostly in blended whiskeys of other pretty big name distilleries like Glenrothes, Macallan. So it's decent. Not had this myself but for a 12yo it's great price.

Excellent sherry cask whisky, especially for $80.

It is not the most popular, but it is a fundamental, no-nonsense type whisky to enjoy.

How strong is the sherry notes. I did a tasting and fell in love with glendronach 12yo which is also on special but not as good a deal

  The sherry is fairly subdued. It's definitely not a sherry bomb. Very nice whisky though, unless you're after big, brash flavours.
