The Lumia prices seem pretty good anyway, as they're proper AU stock. The cheap accessories would be a sweetener.

er, why does anyone even have to give you 50% off on accessories? It's not all about how you benefit only, the retailer has to make a profit too.

Oh, I didn't mean it that way. I meant why can't they just have deals just on the accessories or just on the phone. It makes the deals more enticing. From the get go, I could tell that this would not be popular.

Most people I know don't care about the firmware, I know some people don't even have google accounts set up on their Android phones. As long as they can make phone calls, send text/email, take photos, visit Facebook and play Angry Bird they will be happy ;)

Although I don't own Lumia yet, I can imagine people choose Lumia because they can get: free music, free offline navigation, public transport, compressed browsing to use less data, city lens, simple and smooth UI…
