Might be an ATL for portable touchscreens?

60Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, 400 cd/m² brightness, 100% sRGB color gamut, 178° viewing angle, comes with built-in speakers, kickstand and VESA mounting holes, plug and play with 2 fully functional USB C ports, one full sized HDMI port, and a OTG USB A port.

Cheap and widely rebranded Chinese monitor with rubbish build quality (far worse than AliExpress monitors IMO), but at $75 bucks it may be worth the risk for some.

Especially since you get hassle free returns with Amazon!

Edit: Looks like there's a slightly inferior version (1920x1080 @ 300 cd/m² brightness) going at the same price by the same seller.

Worth a punt at that price! (And Amazon return policy)

Worst cast scenario it becomes a monitor for troubleshooting.

“Trouble shooting monitor” is Exactly what I was looking for after buying the Dell wyse the other day… perfect!

  • +1

No thanks after checking out amazon review and real photos of the product

    • +2

That looks like the 11 inch mate.

Plus I bet you $30 “NannyHill81” is using a rando USB cable to connect this screen, therefore random cutouts.

      • +3

Scroll down to the 3rd or 4th pic with the review, this screen doesn’t have a hard glass surface, it’s plastic matte and has no protection against scratches at all

        • Yeh, thats the first thing i thought when i checked the reviews

  • +9

At this price, how can we be sure it’s a genuine yydz?

    • +4

I only heard good things about yydz and I know from a reliable source that they are the official distributor for Akntzcs in Australia. They only sell genuine Akntzcs products.

      • How do you say that business name 🤔
        Tongue twister

        • The rule of Akntzcs club is you don’t pronounce the name!

I have one of these and it's a really good monitor. Brightness is excellent.

    Expired coupon not working/there

    • Just when I was about to buy

      • Unfortunately this is a case of you snooze you lose the chance to buy one for record low prices 😅

      • Luckily i didn't wait this time before buying

        Next best thing is
        https://amzn.asia/d/2aqKH1s i think

        • Don’t think this is touch monitor?

    • Call my name

  • What do you use these for? Or is it another case of its cheap so I'll buy one and chuck it on the useless OB purchases?

    • Second screen with a laptop. Good for notes with presentations and demos, and whenever you aren't using your laptop at your desk.

  • Thought long and hard and just could't find a use case for this even though I want one. haha.

  • Thinking to buy this to hook it with a Raspberry pi and run home assistant. Any views on how it’s touch is?

I worked in the biggest Chinese monitor manufacturer for 2 years. This kind of product does not have too many defects
on the screen panel itself, but the driver board and build quality are quite troublesome. In China, you can always avoid this by delicately reading their comments from Alibaba.com, but not in Amazon Aus…
    Amazon's return could be a guarantee. (?)

    • Are there some other models you'd look at that are less crap?

And is this non-touchscreen any better?

      • To be honest I don't know the build quality of this product… Just want to provide info to you guys.

    • Delicately you say?

      • +1

Might choose the wrong word. I meant carefully, to avoid crap products.

  • Delivered already, wow that was quick.

    • How is it? Kinda wondering if it's still worth $105

      • Still in the box LOL

      • +1

Light, cheap plastic feel & quality. Touchscreen is hit & miss. Returning it.

        • Thanks for the update. I actually went and got the other (non-touch) model that popped up at the same time, and will do the same.
It's pretty crap lol, but good to know that I guess

          • +1

@crentist: Yeah, that's kind of expected. I bought two rebranded monitors of the same ilk from Amazon AU and decided to return them too. One cracked itself in transit and the other had a faulty USB A port and had connection issues over USB C.

I only posted this deal because some people were satisfied with their purchase in the Amazon reviews and thought maybe somebody might benefit from the cheap price 😅

@anonym: Nah it's a good thing to share, thanks. I wish I had some use case for a basic screen, but I wanted it as a portable work monitor and can't help pixel peeping text.
And it's probably fine for that anyway, but I also have an ipad which is very good, just overkill for what I actually use it for.

The idea was that I could downgrade to a portable screen and sell the ipad I barely use. But that's not a fair comparison, and just makes me want to use the ipad more lol

              • @crentist: No worries, and well, it's better to go way overboard rather than having something lacklustre.

The build quality of these (suppposedly portable) monitors are really quite bad and it will likely crack or get damaged fairly easily if you try to carry it around like an ipad 😓

        • Yes same just opened mine and touch screen is a BS, its only touch screen to like brighness and like monitor setup controls (no actual touch screen support to OS)

          • @USER DC: Um. I'm guessing you are using HDMI with an external source powering the monitor? I believe the monitor needs to be connected to your computer with a USB cable to enable touch functionality.

            • @anonym: yes ?? aren't we only supposed to connect HDMI to HDMI port?

what other thing we need to connect ?? USB C from monitor to USB A on computer ??

              • @USER DC: Either USB C from monitor to USB A on your computer, or USB C to C.

Received mine today, did a quick test and here are some comments

Build quality: yes it’s look plastic, definitely not a premium look

Screen quality: looks ok when I try a few YouTube 1080 videos (not extremely sharp but acceptable)

    Usage test:

    1. box comes a USB C-to-C with can directly connect to my iPhone 15 or Samsung S22, once connected it will automatically cast (mirror) the phone screen without additional power needed, however the resolution looks a bit weird, seems ratio is slightly off when mirroring phone screen

    2. Using the USB C-to-C cable connect to S22 I am unable to activate Dex mode. But once I connect another type C port to a powerbank, Dex mode is started in the monitor. In built speaker and touch screen also works in the monitor. Touch sensitive seems pretty good, I am able to slide across app menus and do some gestures like zoom with 2 fingers.

Final thoughts: agree that it’s not a premium product, but for my usage I mainly used as a spare monitor to connect to my Mac mini which used as a DevOps build agent, so for the price of $75 I probably will keep it, I think it’s a good value for the price (finger cross it won’t die in few months). It might also be some great usage if I want to temporarily show my phone screen to someone in a friends and family gathering (eg. Photos or videos)

    Thanks for posting..

    Arrived today..
Yes light, plasticky, screen is made of plastic and likely to scratch
Came with a power adaptor, 2 x USB A to C cables.. (for power only) ??weird
    and one HDMI cable..

Hooked up to a Intel Nuc works perfectly, including the touch and sound .. with a single cable to provide power..

Hooked up via HDMI and USB-c power.. and USB-A to C for the touch screen… the touch didn't work..
figured out the USB A- C cables supplied only works for power..

Used my own USB- A to C cable to get the touch screen wokring via HDMI…

Is it cheap and nasty … yes

Yes.. but the screen is bright even… and is only $75…

Great buy…. perfectly for a spare testing screen… for my test bench…

    • You might want to get in touch with customer support. The monitor is supposed to come with one USB A to C, one USB C to C, and one HDMI cable.

The included accessories are illustrated in the last image of the Amazon listing.

      • +1

        Got all those,
including 2* USB-A to USB-C… but these are power only.. (white coloured) and these did not support data.. (ie the touch screen)

    Update on this:
Gave it a proper testing and can address some of those low review concerns:

    • You need to plug it into external power for it to work property and stop the flickering (only way to use this directly via phone only is to lower the brightness a lot)
    • The HDR is crap, don't use it
    • The internal speakers are Okay, just don't crank it all the way up or else it will naturally be tinny AF

Other then that it's a really nice screen, decent brightness, display quality, DeX works perfectly fine.

    • +1

Yea, dex works surprisingly well, smooth touch and works well with finger gestures too

      • It definitely exceeded my expectations for $75
