  • Is the wheel cleaner a good deal?

Use the waterless wash and wax religiously at all times of the year. Great for smaller stains and stuff like that in between major washes (I only realistically wash my car once a month). Also great for getting into crevices and jambs where the water from a car wash wouldn't usually get to. Like trims under the doors etc.

If you don't hose/wash it off how does the "wash" part work?

      • marketing gimmick. It's just a quick surface cleaner and I go over it twice to make sure the wax sticks.

    Waterless now 44$

  • I use the waterless wash for the hinges and door jambs

Is this not just car wash and wax mixed with water?

    • +1

Says it's water-free polymer which bonds with the surface - including the dirt film on said surface presumably (not).

Essentially the "wash" claim appears to be marketing nonsense. Polymer "waxes" are decades old but used to require buffing in. These products are obviously far more effective when used on a relatively clean surface (as is the Ultimate Wash and Wax), irrespective of whether it's a door sill/jamb/etc or a bonnet. Rinse car, apply wash and wax (bucket or gun), rinse again, and dry off.
