Are there any manufacturers or retailers who gives credit for taking in old tvs for recycling? I know Samsung did (though reduced from $200 to $100). Are there any other companies or retailers that offer such promotion?
TV Retailers Who Offer Credit for Recycling

Samsung did. $200, but it's now $100.
So $100 off a TV when the cheapest TV listed on the approved list appears to be $2k but most are in the $3-5k range, isn't really the deal you think it is.
All built into the price.
Not exactly - I got trade in of $200 on a broken tv on this recent fantastic deal. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/832917
I am looking for other retailers so I can regularly keep an eye on these type of deals.

On that deal it was a good deal for sure!
But looking at todays deals, Its $100 off a $3-4k TV isn't that great of a deal.

Best to sell it used, that's still considered 'recycling'
The TV is 12 years old…
A 12 yo TV which was very good when new can still be worth something.
A 12yo TV which was cheap when new is worthless today.
LOL You want someone to pay you to take your TV away? Good luck with that!
