Good price for the RGB30. I paid $62US a while a go which was the best price back then. Price includes the $2 off $9 coupon and don't forget cash back.

This unit uses the RK3566 chip which is higher spec than the R36s and the Miyoo Mini and about the same as the 35xx plus/H. Has built in WiFi and Bluetooth.

This little units screen is the standout. Perfect for GB, GBC, NES, SNES and other 4:3/8:7 games. People complain about the quality but I have this and the R36s and an Anbernic 35xx and the only one I've had issues with is the Anbernic which was dead in arrival.

Don't order any additional sd-cards and flash yourself an Arkos system card and add roms to a secondary sd-card.

Anbernic RG35XX H $83 for your procrastinating pleasure.

    • Which one is better? Comparable specs?

      • Rgb30 has a better screen

  • "Comparison"
Note based on original 35xx-h stock firmware.

Ordered the RG35XX H and now wish I’d waited for this instead.

I wouldn't worry too much. Apart from the screen, I don't think the RGB30 has much over the Anbernic. It does depend a lot on what you want to play, though.

Dang bit of a run on these consoles lately and I am all for it

I sold my original RG35xx and got a R36S. now i regret that and want to get RGB30, RG35xxH all of the bloody things

      • +1

I got rid of my R36S to get the H. Playing PS1 games on a Gameboy-type body was painful.

        • +1

I printed a handgrip for the R36S, made it heaps more comfortable.

        • Fair enough, I was tempted to get the X55 but JelOS is frozen now so glad I didnt.

          • @adrianhughes1998: Arggg X55 around the same price $64.71 USD.
Very tempted for the big screen for Gameboy Advance, PSP 3:2/16:9 etc… (yes know that Jelos has finished RK3566 development but……)

            • @Limbot: It's probably in a stable enough state I guess. Jesus it's all tempting all these handhelds.

Bought this when it was new and honestly it just stopped working after a month, refuses to charge anymore even after I followed tips to open it up and reattach the battery. Wouldn’t touch powkiddy ever again. Meanwhile my miyoo mini is still going.

I’ve never owned a Powkiddy but based on what I’ve read over the years,I wouldn’t buy one.

      • I do enjoy my RGB30 but it's in a limited use scenario. The only thing I use it for it is arcade shmups for a 3:4 aspect ratio. If I wanted to play a GB/GBC I'd consider it too. Otherwise the poor controls, the annoying charging quirks and finally the ergonomics of it mean I'll generally reach for another device.

I guess my point is I wouldn't use this as a daily driver, or a one and done.

      • I would also avoid this brand, a lot of reviews out there with build quality issues.

    • I've read that if its totally drained, open it up and unplug the battery from the board for a little. Plug it back in and it should work perfectly for good.

  • I bought this for $132 a couple weeks ago thinking that was an excellent price. Now I cry!

  • I'm getting 73USD on checkout after tax
