iRest Massage Chair or Recommendation for a Massage Chair

We are looking for a massage chair and have been checking the iRest range on Costco. Looking for some genuine feedback from anyone who may have used the A305 massage chair. This is currently selling for $3.5k at costco

Are there any other chairs you would recommend for under $3.5k.

Note - We have previously used a masseuse vitality pro flex and did not like it much. Reason being the track was not long enough to reach thighs and leg/foot massagers were useless.

  • Have a few extended family members who "invested" in massage chairs, insisting they'd use it daily and get great use out of it.

Yep, after a few weeks it sits in the corner, huge and unused.

Pick one up from fb marketplace for a couple hundred bucks - don't be the bagholder who buys it new and regrets it instantly.

    • Wifey wants one and FB Marketplace is not cheap.. people are trying to sell the chairs for the price they would have paid after discount. They pretend they bought a chair at its rep of $8.5k while they would have technically paid less than half of that.. and after 2-3 years of use, they want $4k for it lol.

      • That is true for FB marketplace and you dont know how they treated it.
With the features you advised, it looks costly, did you try Harvey Norman for Synargy models. You can get something similar from 3.5k - 4.5k ( Juno or Aria models from smart comfort). Not sure though about warranty and reviews as there are not much.
There is also Livmor models ( SL track, 0 gravity, heating, etc.) sold by almost everyone : Bunnings, Costco, HN, Myer, coles, etc. They are sold as market place item, so dispatched from the seller directly. 3 years warranty looks good, but cant find anything on manufacturer.
Did you end up buying anything?

yeah tha A305-17 turned out to be failry basic when we trialed it. The features are only one aspect of a chair and then there is the tech and quality of materials used. I have tried the Livmor's top models at a friends house, on a spec sheet they look really nice but was the worst chair we tried.

We finally decided to go ahead with iRest SL-A100 as was the best chair under $10k from the one's we tried. Havent bought yet as had to priorities some renos and travel but aiming to buy by Xmas.

Look at the thread below, there are some good discussion points there. The only thing I am a little bit worried about is after sales support from iRest and that is why I would only buy it from Costco and not directly from them. If after sales support and customer service matters more to you, then look at Elex.. they have some really good chairs, though a little pricey compared to iRest.

          • @Megatron: We don't want to spend 5k plus on chairs, thus cheaper ones were being looked at. Thanks for the feedback on livemor.

@EnALup: the only thing I will say - dont spend $3k on something you will not ever use. A friend bought a Homasa one for about $1700 (I have actually forgotten but it was between $1500-$2k), and it now sits like an expensive bulky furnite coz it is really sh*t.. and we have learned that the features mean nothing on a piece of paper as the hardware and tech is generally crap in cheaper chairs.. If you have a $3k budget, you could try the Vitality Pro Flex from Costco.. every few months they have a special for under $3k and it is a nice chair on the back.. just not so good in the left/foot area.
