  • Bought one of these! I hope it's worth it! Now i need to buy a basic Baby Monitor that can be used with a dedicated screen without WiFi requirements etc.

    • I bought a vtech bm3350n which doesn’t require wifi. Works great but the camera must be connected to power. The monitor is wireless.

      • Amazing, this is the one i have been looking at! Thank you

    • If you get yourself an Amazon Echo 5 it has the Cubo ‘skill’ so you can use it as an always on baby monitor.

Just got one recently and set it up like this. Works well.

      • How laggy is it compared to the Cubo app?

With our Nanit, the Echo Show is terribly laggy…like 1 or 2 seconds behind the app, which already has some amount of lag! Don't really bother using it because it's so laggy.

It’s fit for use. Lag is approx one second which doesn’t really bother me. Sound and video on the Echo Show are fine. Wife really likes it as she’s the primary user of it.

It’s more the wireless connection to the Cubo which can be the issue. It’s a known problem that they don’t have great wireless performance.

At this price though I’d recommend the Cubo with Echo Show 5 over a dedicated video monitor like the Vtech.

I was actually trying to buy the Nanit at the Melb baby expo a few weeks ago but the people on the stand were faffing around so much I just left and that night saw the Cubo for $300 and jumped on it.

Got one 3 years ago, for ours and it's been wonderful!!
Always monitoring it and can even use it when one parent is outside or so.
Some say on the internet it is bad, as in faulty etc.. i havent experienced this.
Have the premium subscription after the free 1 year ended

App is sometimes laggy but the playback and capture of videos etc is very cool feature, also the sleep tracker is good too

  • We used ours for baby #1, it is very basic without a subscription (it comes with a 12 month one) however. The subscription model is greedy to the extreme. Used exclusively with the floor stand (and taken away on trips etc) - never touched the crib or mobile stand.

We have twins due shortly and are tossing up whether to get a new cubo + subscription, purchase a cubo subscription for existing (but that only covers 1 bassinet, maybe 2 until they transition into separate cots) or something else.

    Really, really dislike the subscriptions.

Subscriptions suck. Money hungry, especially after the price you pay for the hardware

Just buy a cheap monitor for your eldest and use the Cubo for your newborn. We plan to do just this in the coming months

  • Dammit!

Ordered 7th March from Amazon $499.

    Do I have any options?
