    FINALLY a toothbrush with RGB

    • +2

      Gaming toothbrush?

      • +1

        Maybe if we're lucky, they'll throw in a Free-sync.

    • They work better, don't they?

    • (profanity) and I missed out. Ill have to continue using my non RGB :(

  • This promotion has been running for at least a month now, but are these toothbrushes worth it? I just purchased the Oral-B Smart 5 5000 for like $75 last week but yeah… Any excuse to blow money… *EDIT double post.

From a quick googling - not worth the extra $.

    • +2

From what I have read, anything over the 2000 is about the same with some added features that you may or may not use (like bluetooth, RGB, etc.). I ended up getting a 3000 on sale a few weeks ago after some research.

      • Yeah seems to be that way with a lot of gimmicky things added along the way.

      • thats what im trying to avoid too.
        how much was the 3000?

      • Will the bluetooth go to an app and track my brushing habits? I feel that would actually help me brush more and longer.

        • Exactly my thoughts. Reading some comments in the past, it seems so.

        • Yes it does. If you think that would be helpful for you, then it could be worth it. The toothbrush of mine that just died had that feature but I looked at it maybe once or twice in the first week and never used it again so knew I didn't need it.

          • @EBC: I'm the kind of person that loves stats and streaks etc. I tracked calories in MyFitnessPal for two years straight without missing a day because I didn't want to lose my streak. I have literally 10 years data of weighing myself on my smart scales (prior to that I recorded it in Excel manually). I'm probably one of the few people that would actually benefit from this gimmicky stuff haha.

            • @bleeder: Haha you should definitely go for it then! I'm the kind that likes data and in theory would like to have all my data from these things but falls down at the effort of collecting the data.

            • +1

@bleeder: Just noting you'll need your phone and the app open each time you brush.

The toothbrush doesn't store and sync the data.

I used that functionality twice over the first 3 days, then I haven't for the last 18 months, because I can't be bothered.

              • @pizzaguy: @pizzaguy that's shit then…. Thanks, you've deterred me from this purchase :)

    • Smart 5 5000 for $75 is the smart buy. You don't need the extra stuff that comes with the Genius range.

Out of stock of the 9000 at the listed price. Now at $200, not $160

  • Any suggestions for Oral B compatible tooth brush heads? I've been purchasing the genuine ones but I see there are lots of generic knocks off for much less floating around Amazon/eBay etc..

    • +1

Not sure about the quality of those
Oral b brush heads regularly comes on sale through CWH

      • I tried the cheap ones from both Amazon and Ebay, but I felt the quality was not there and I needed to replace them so often it was not worth it. Lasted about the same as getting the original mixed 4 pack which often go on special.

I use the Oral-b pro 100 which is about $40. I'm not sure if getting a $200-$400 toothbrush is worth it in my opinion.

Didn't work, the 40% off is only on the bath bombs now and not on the toothbrush it seems!

  • I've got an old school model that came with an actual Digital timer / clock that is the best, makes such a difference to see an actual timer so you know when 2 mins is up! I hate the silly buzz they do, mine does this as well but can never seem to keep track of it unless i see the actual clock:
    this one: https://www.electricteeth.com/oral-b-wireless-smartguide/

Does anyone know if a new brush will pair with my old clock? I assume not as theres no pair button on the clock it just magically works! Going on 10 years!

Only reason I want a new one is for the lithium battery and a bit more power as my battery doesnt hold much charge these days

    • Good point, I sometimes miss the buzz. I'd rather just look at a timer!

      • actually read my own link and it states you can pair the timer with the following models only:
        Pro 3000
        Pro 6000
        Pro 6500
        Pro 7500
        Genius Pro 8000
        Genius 9600

  • Thoughts of the rotational type (like this Oral B) vs the vibration type (e.g. Philips Sonicare)? I did a lot of research when I got my Philips and it seemed the vibrational type were better.

  • damm os

  • Oos

  • I just got the 4000 and 3x bath bombs including delivery for $87 using this deal. Needed something ASAP. Did I just waste my money?
