    Final Fantasy XVI

    Is it really final though?

    • +1

It is not, as Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has since been released, apologies.

    • Why stop here? We're already past halfway to final Fantasy XXX !

      • +11

        Don’t google Final Fantasy XXX!

          Too late.

I now have a meeting with the HR Manager tomorrow… 😞

Great price for a great game!

Also on sale digitally on PSN for $68.97

UK Version for 61.47 on Amazon. Petrol is expensive to get to BigW as it's not close.

    • UK version work here?

      • Yes the PS5 games aren't region locked. Blu-ray movies are however.

Nothing available close to me in VIC..

Fyi the pc version is at the final stages of optimisation soo, might be worth waiting for that if you have a decent pc considering the performance on the ps5 is pretty lackluster.

I'll wait for PC then. I heard news about FF16 overheating PS5s and causing them to shut down

      • It'll always be more optimised on console. You'll probably need a new $2000 equivalent machine to match console frame rates

      • Even Hell Divers on the higher modes has caused a crash or two when you've got stratagems flying around

  • +1

good price, I paid a lot more for this game, lol. (day 1 release. I have sinned, and can no longer call myself an ozbargainer.)

  • +1

Playing this at the moment - although i've noticed game play is super easy compared to previous ones?

    • +2

Check some of the rings, some of them bascially make you just spam 1 button instead of having to manually dodge, change skills & more. Also, Story mode = easy mode.
I only learned this with a few hours left in the game and was basically playing on Kindergarden mode the whole way (but was still fun since the draw for me is the spectacle).
      Enjoy!

    • +1

      Yeah, it's very easy

  • Meh. It's so middle of the road for so many different genres that it's just nothing special.

  • -5

This series is already dead. Its another rubbish game. FF7 remake is the only exception

  • +1

i'll wait for the eventual "royal editon" "integrade edition"

  • Waiting for pc version

  • Is this turn base?

    • NO, it's DMC style action RPG

      • Nice I will get it

  • +1

This game is so good, just the Bahamut boss fight alone worth $60. It's basically free for the rest of the game.

    • People should use this game to show off their shiny OLED. Colour looks amazing.

  • +2

ff7 rebirth is better if you can only choose one game

  • +1

Was hyped for this….played and finished it…..
it is trying too hard to impress, to be epic and to be fun….it fails on all fronts.

The battle system is all flash with no tact…..bringing the entire gameplay down….the side quests npc are meh….

I had significantly more fun with ffxv than in the monofest of ffxvi.

ffvii remake is how the battle systems should have been in ffxvi

  • The only thing stopping me from buying this game is the performance 60fps mode is just not good enough on ps5
