  • Would this be much of an improvement over a Tefal?

    • Tefal ones are OK but not as good as this, Tiger, etc.

    • yeah shits on it

      i had the tefal one..got a tiger,similar to this

      it's LEAGUES better rice,especailly basmati

  • Non toxic non stick? No mention of it being stainless steel

    Nvm found it:
Inner PotAluminium Coating : Non-Stick Coating

    • From the product info “Non-Stick Coated Aluminum Inner Pot. Aluminium helps conduct heat fast and efficiently, making it a suitable choice for cooking and the non-stick coating makes it easy to clean.“

      Same here. Great rice cooker!

    • Same

  • Need a bigger size

  • It's a great product. One of the most popular rice cooker brands in Korea.

  • Is this size fine for a single person household, can I cook as small a portion as I want?

    • Yes, full portion makes around 6 bowls of rice depending how big your bowl is.
So you can do half portion and i guess covers the whole day.

    • No, I am pretty sure this has a 2 (rice) cup minimum. Cuckoo have a red 3 cup model which does have a 1/2 (rice) cup minimum, which would be better suited for a single person who doesn't want to eat rice all day. Note that the 3 cup has a fewer features, such as GABA mode.

    My wife loves her cuck

      Your wife loves her cuckold?

      • +1

        That is what she said

  • A lot of these rice cookers advertise as useable for soup, stews, casseroles, basically anything you could make in a slow cooker. Anyone tried that? What was it like?

The most adventurous I’ve been with my Breville Rice Box was to make porridge a couple of times. It was okay, but I think oats really benefit from being stirred during cooking so I probably wouldn’t do it again.

    • There is an Australian Japanese YouTuber (Chefs Labo) who does a few rice cooker dishes. They are really good

    • Do-able but they're not designed for it.

  • What about this Nutribullet one for $109?
I like ones with steamer function as well:
