If you enjoy blasting music on the train, work in a noisy environment or just really want to hear your music then here's a Android phone that packs a large 3.5W speaker on the back with up to 122dB of noise. The other main highlights are the IP68/69K rating making it water/drop proof, the whopping 9600mAh battery with reverse charging and optional accessories like a dock with passthrough charging, microscope and even an endoscope.

Features include Android 13 with Google Play, 5.93" 1440x720" IPS display, 8GB RAM, 128GB UFS 2.2 storage (microSD support), 9600mAh battery with USB-C & 18W charging, UNISOC T616 Octa-core CPU, ARM Mali-G57 Graphics, 50MP Samsung Rear Camera, 2MP macro camera, 8MP Samsung Front Camera, NFC, large flashlight, 4G LTE with B28, Dual SIM, Fingerprint reader, custom side button, 3.5mm audio jack WiFi + Bluetooth 5.0, GPS

Obviously the main weak point of this phone is the Unisoc T616 CPU that's more on the low to mid range end. It's perfectly fine for general use, but high end gaming will struggle. The other downsides are no Widevine L1 for Netflix HD and it's unlikely this will ever receive Android 14.

This one is a whopping 696g and you wouldn't want that thrown at you. Specs are super impressive.

      • That would be a killer phone for a lot of field applications and circumstances where a powerpoint isn't at hand for days at a time.

I love any design that isn't a generic thin glass featureless slab.

  • damn it, id have been all over this for a MTB phone in a quadlock on the bars. Only grabbed an Nokkia XR 20 for cheap from JB last month, albeit the OS has already had one upgrade.

  • Supports 4G/3G/2G
    Supports VoLTE HD calling
*Only certain regions and telecom operators support VoLTE.

What is the VoLTE status on Telstra/Optus/Vodafone?

  • Should out to the Unisoc T616, my kid plays CODM on the lowest settings, wish CODM Warzone worked a bit better, but hey it's cheap!!
