paint the box white and just say it's a plant stand.
3% cashback.
from the lego store @$1299, not amazon…
Bugger, missed that one. Sorry.
To be fair, your comment didn't have a great amount of detail, or link to what the cashback was. Not sure it was worth the down vote, but hey whatever
May the force be with you… and not her
This is the way.
What a piece of junk!
It as your boy, Luke Skywalker's quote :)
Aliexpress $200, honestly more than that much plastic is worth.
It's not just plastic that costs money, it's the design, the licensing (agree that's too much), the machinery required to get good tolerance parts and figure printing, the moulds which do have a finite life, the type of plastic because most inferior types of plastic age very badly, and the ability to get replacement parts posted to you free forever (eg: Browns and some whites tending to break)
Is $999 a lot? Yeah sure. Too much? Yeah probably. But if you truly believe $200 is too much… Time to pack up the soapbox and find another thread
Bro you are terrible at math and should find another site, go buy everything at full price. Also some Chinese bricks are superior to Lego, go find the custom lord of the rings Gondor Fountain guard minigures, they have a lot more and its amazing, life changing.
"Terrible at math", lol.
Proof of everything or forget it.
And even if you find an example, doesn't mean that "$200 set on AliExpress" is good. Bwahaha. Well, you made me laugh.Lastly, when I sell Lego, I earn a big rate of return. Your Chinese clones do not.
You also skipped everything I said that didn't suit your statement. I said so many facts that you outright ignored. For example I said $999 is too much. Plastic quality. Etc.How on earth you think you can form a reasonable argument when you do that I can't comprehend.
I agree there are some great custom figures out there, however they are not cheap and do not often hold investment value.
Now, back to my Fourier transforms. Because I'm bad at maths. And apparently my English is terrible too because for some reason I spell it as mathS.
Education is also life changing, buddy.
Upvoting because real bargain hunters buy "bricks" that look and feel the same and make the same thing or even better "LOTR bricks have custom Noldor and dwarven mini-figures that are better quality then lego", and because it has no giant branding taxes we save tons of money and the brand snobs pay more, Its just plastic and it will decay and fade with time anyway
I'll tell the wife it's actually a coffee table. About the right size.
I'm in the middle of building this. Worth every cent! Yes you have to get it past the boss and you'll need a lot of spare room once it's built but its worth it. 17 groups of packets, with about 4 packets in each group. It's a lot and it takes a while, so it feels like you're getting better value for money. I've been doing a couple of packets each week when I have time and it's made the experience so much better. Just tell your partner it'll mean spending less time with you, so she can watch tv in peace… That should sell it.
You're building that thing? You're braver than I thought.
Dam.. still not built the Ornithopter yet - buuuuut.. bloody tempting …again.
Imagine what you could be buying instead.
You could have the ISS, Mars Rover, Saturn 5, Lunar Lander and more!
You got the star and forgot the wars :)
Consequences = Wife. Not sure saying “these are not the Lego I just bought” is going to work this time.
