From memory of prior OzBargain comments, this brand isn't as good? Heard it has reliability issues and isn't the rated capacity.

Unfortunately, while it is smaller, the amount of capacity it delivered was somewhat disappointing. As tested with the Rohde & Schwarz NGM202 two-quadrant power supply, the derived capacity at 5V/3A was 5694mAh which translates to 7237mAh at 3.85V or an efficiency of 72.37% which is on the low end. The figures are worse at 9V and only slightly better at 12V. In all cases, the available capacity from this 10,000mAh 38.5Wh power bank was notably less than that from the 10,500mAh 38.85Wh Iniu BI-B6 which itself is not all that efficient at around 80%.

It may be the case that the cell may be below claimed capacity. Round-trip efficiency, however, suggests that the power conversion is not so efficient and neither does the fact the power bank is noticeably warm when charging and discharging.

Not sure about that. Had seen this video and Veetomax powerbank was the best overall (INIU Is not included in comparison though) and also says fastest recharging powerbank in comparison.

yours still have micro port, which is useless for me maybe okay for others. still good

    • +1

      i paid $25 like a fool :')

it met my expectations though so i guess i cant be too upset

    • +1

Would specifically not buy that one due to presence of micro-USB.

      • That is one of the reasons for me buying it. It still has USBC Input / Output port so Micro USB serves as an option. Even if I have INIU, don't think will be using all 3 ports at once.

        • +1

          Fair enough.

But sometimes manufacturers need to move on from making legacy interfaces.

I can understand older devices are stuck with micro-USB ports. But PD power banks made in recent times? come on!

        • +1

Note that this one is 5V only, which rarely charges at the max 3A / 15W.

The deal one (and the ever popular B6) do 20W (9V, 2.22A) PD charging.

          • @Prong: I see. they all say high speed fast charge so confusing. thanks for clarifying
so look for 20W + or if it says PD

            • +1

              @ChatCPT: Yep. Generally phones will charge at 9V using the PD 3.0 spec, at up to 18W (9V, 2A), 20W (9V, 2,22A), or 27W (9V, 3A).

Pretty much as long as it does 18W (9V, 2A), then you get 90% of the overall fastest charge rate for most phones, as the very peak rate that exceeds that is only for a short period. Though some phones like Samsung will charge fine with a PD charger, but have specific needs for extra fast charging.

Many power banks say 22.5W, but that is a Huawei fast charge mode at 5V, 4.5A, so not usually relevant.

              • @Prong: got it thank you. we've all got iphones here at home so I better find out what they charge at - iPhone 10 - 14 Pro

                • +1

@ChatCPT: From the iPhone 8 they all support PD spec charging. Including with USB-C to lightning.

So as long as you use USB-C on the charger end and have PD spec 18W or higher they will fast charge.

The 14 Pro can peak at 27W PD, but tests show it spends very little time at over 20W so total charge time isn't much faster. The max charge rate is mostly limited by heat and the battery in the phone.

There are a few 30W power banks, but really 18W or 20W is just as good.

                  • @Prong: you really know your stats. thank you - you saved me a whole lot of reading!

  • Available again

      • yea it back

  • This is quickly becoming power bank week on OzB

  • For anyone who already got this and wants another. I received my mini today and on the seal that closes the box is a QR code that gets you 50% off your next INIU purchase.
Picked this up for about $10 with another 15% coupon on Amazon.

    • Oh wow, that is great. What are the terms of that 50% off? Any limits?

      • I didn't check and the box is in the bin, but I think it was just your next purchase.

        • Looks like someone already posted it
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/837077

          • @Sherro: Ahhh sorry I think I misunderstood. I was thinking there was a specific code for a INIU discount. That linked deal is a 50% discount on the B6, which INIU has been applying on and off the past few days.

My B6 box has a QR code that if you scan with the Amazon app, shows you a page with similar power banks. Some of them are discounted, but it's not a specific discount code. It just so happens that some of the power banks have discounts.

Is that what it was for you?

  • expired just now

  • Expired? I dont see the deal anymore ๐Ÿ˜ญ

  • Available still!

  • Look ma I finally got one of the INIU deal

  • Got one! I guess the reappears if people cancel their order?

  • This deal seems to be available again
