  • This or the Pixel 8?

    • Another factor to consider Nothing Phone has no eSim support

      • +1

eSIM is convenient for overseas travel.

      • I didn't know that, that takes it out of contention for me. Having travelled with a phone with eSim I never want to go without it again.

    • Pixels have poor battery but the camera and software excellent with years of updates and ai integrated.

Nothing 2 is their flagship with pixel pro sized screen. However the camera, no ai features, unsure of years of updates.

      • 3 years of updates, based on July 2023 release with Android 13. Not great not bad, and let's hope the company will still be around (no signs of issues at the moment, the 2a release seems to be a success)

  • On paper it is a great phone, but not as much compared to Pixel series phone (simply due to longevity of updates and battery isn't that bad).
However, these phones give me the same vibe as that of HTC Evo 3D. It was an awesome phone, but the company made sure the phone was lost into oblivion. With no updates, no major support, it eventually just became a brick in only 2-3 years.

Been using this phone since launch. Switched from SS Note 20 ultra. Only compaint is the average camera quality. Everything else has been pleasant and battery life has been ideal. Software has been really smooth and clean

I broke the back glass from a drop, the replacement was approx $120 for the entire process

Have you tried finding a Gcam port to improve picture quality?

      • Never considered it but I will now

  • So many on here were knocking Nothing phones now im seeing SOLD OUT . Just a bit expensive for me .

    • That's because, all flagships with big screens are crazy expensive, it feels that need.

So too much money to spend on nothing?

…knocking Nothing phones now im seeing SOLD OUT

May be few-people are willing to risk $800 for a new-brand: 1st release in Jul-22 & have yet to prove itself compare to say, Samsung. Feel free to read-up & share your findings.

Samsung S23 is soon to be discounted to clear old-stock & likely similar-cost-> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/samsung-galaxy-s23

Pretty but problematic phone, and completely junk TWS IEMs.

  • I have the Ear 2 and they have great sound quality but noise cancelling is not great.
